I think about this from time to time but I realize is that the mental image is real but it’s not physical I do not know why it is easier to have the mental image of something as opposed to the physical thing.
Because their brain is not the whole universe/reality. To make stuff appear differently, they have to interact with available substance, and they are limited to the environment within their sphere of influence (ever widening with technology). There was never nothing.

Cause everything you do internally is just that. Something you do internally.
Everything, including your knowledge of reality, are internal impressions of it.
Much like how the brain never sees sunlight, it sits in pitch black darkness inside your skull, but thinks it knows what sunlight is.

This is one of the arguments for God…God’s thought of something does not automatically bring it into being. He BEING ITSELF must do that. We are not God. His thought brings things into being and our thought, to be correct, must correspond to that already existent reality. You didn’t give your self being so why would you being able to give it to some not yet existent thing.

Are you saying vacuum energy is nothing? You’d have to take that up with modern physics that seems pretty convinced it is something. I could quote from some online source but this sounds like your project not mine.
I wonder about folks who ask for the reason why something is NOT the case. The fact is that it isn’t. And what it is must be the answer to what it can and can’t do.We can’t create things because we are not the Creator, we are Created ourself.
If we could create then we still would have to exempt ourselves from that, we don’t create ourselves. So the question begs a real drubbing but I am not in the mood.
