Looks like Flannel Jesus suspended him for winning an argument with him in the LGB+++ad infinitum thread. At least that was his last post. Not sure what ‘in the wrong place’ means.

I’m only guessing. I just looked at his last post and exchange :laughing: I didn’t know he was banned.

Please stop using trigger words to justify bans. It makes everyone look bad on this forum to suggest that people are getting banned for “bigotry”. We are (hopefully) not that fragile.

i suppose while being a “vile, nasty, bigot, racist, idiot” makes you not a very good person, i don’t think that automatically translates to him being suspended for 10 years.

It is incorrect to assume that the specific post that precedes a ban is ‘why’ the user was banned.

RealUn has been on and off ILP for years, under many different names. They were banned, more than once, for a consistent pattern of destructive participation, i.e. making it impossible to have a conversation that could pass as philosophy, even by the permissive standards of this site.
