wisdom is a mind that is alert and awake, giving compassion and sympathy to all beings, which was led to that point by messages given to it through trial and error.
Very general indeed; but why? Would you like to expand on your statement, “realization of Truth”? When do we realize this? How do we do it? Do we really realize the Truth and define it as wisdom?
You dont necessarily need to understand it 100%. I doubt anyone ever has. Just look for something beyond the futility of meaningless physical existence in honesty and you will find it.
Is that to my first left? Got any landmarks? I’m thinking we should be looking right at it. It seems to be in the way, so we have to see through it first. It seems to be the object. It seems to involve our needing to figure things out together. No one seems to be in control. Wisdom seems to be a developmental thing. The Dalai Lama discovered a hacker in his computer. Holy crap, I imagine him saying. So much the wiser!
Cats tend to be wiser about physical dangers than dogs.
Dogs however strike me as smarter - iow they can learn more stuff.
Dogs to me are wiser about human emotions than cats - or, at the very least, they give a shit.
To give specific examples of each of the above…
I can’t imagine a cat chasing a bike or a car and trying to bite the front wheel.
Ever hear of a cat used to find lost children?
I’ve had dogs that knew directly when I was sad about something. One would come up and put a reassuring paw on my knee and stare at me with great concern. A look quite different from his are we about to go outside? look of concern. Cats I’ve had could show kindness, but somehow it always seemed to involve mutual attention. They also seemed to like how warm I was when I had a fever. I never confused this with taking care of me.
