Maybe it’s implicit in this entire thread that the matrix is some negative thing from which one should escape. Has anyone considered that it might not be all that bad?
But we’ve all seen how cool it is to try and escape, like Neo.
One might simplify it as so:
One’s future states depend on one’s emotions (and how one judges them and the “external” objects which seem to cause them). If someone has some kind of tension in their body, and their human mind, doing as it does, imagines some better alternative (that they don’t have/are not), they become unsatisfied.
People want to escape the matrix because they are simply not happy with their mind’s interpretation of their body’s impulses.
I don’t think the matrix itself is negative, but I think the way that the people think in the matrix has very negative results when people are not aware of their existence’s matrix-icity (when they believe something is “real” and cling to it for emotional and intellectual support, they invest themselves into it, center their world around a delusion and, this anchor weighting onself down, makes them even more irritable with their mind’s unelasticity).
The Matrix is fun!!!
Bullet time baby! :D/
