i didn’t know that windows was still a thing. i just use my phone and an old chromebook. chromebook like 200 bucks. when it gets slow you throw it away and get another one. why windows?
I mentioned awhile back my interest in building my own solar energy system but now I’ve decided to add a wind turbine as well. Problem is that I haven’t seen any VAWTs, that are both on the smaller, compact side and in my price range.
But the woodstove is next, then I’ll start picking up solar components. I’d like it to be portable and storable with a min. of 5000 wh and a 3500/7000 wattage load. If I come across a beast of an inverter like 5000w or larger for a reasonable price, then hells to the yeah.
It’s not sustainable since the last of the necessary minerals to manufacture lithium batteries is due to be mined in 2025, but I’m comforted in knowing that I may get up to 10+ years use after the plug on the global electric grid is pulled. Hopefully, I’ll have enough back up components then that I’ll be able to eek out energy until I expire.
I’ve been meaning to shop this company lightinthebox.com for over a year. I am a sucker for kitchy things and their optical illusion apparel fascinates me.
My solar array energy system is ‘oh-so-close’ to being finished. Need a few more lithium batteries and some wiring.
Then onward to the vertical wind turbine. I’m going to use the heavy, wrought iron base designed for a patio/canopy to hold(but be portable) the pipe on which the turbine will be attached. Figure I can further pin down the base if it is exceptionally windy with the wire croquet thingies.
Last, the car cams and an optical illusion shirt or two.
Never did order the mini wood stove. Since I’m unsure if it could be implemented in my forever home, holding off.
