Emmm… well … yeah, I think that pretty much qualifies as “evidence”.
Remember as an atheist, you are obligated to not believe in anything that you cannot see.
What I cannot “grasp” is why you would worship such a thing despite the evidence against it. Mathematics has been proven to be incorrect many times, sometimes by me. But the theory that “the universe spirals” is NOT mathematics, but fanciful fairy-tail type of wishful thinking for a simple solution to a much more complex situation … you know, like those other religious people.
I am with art…why have a god…we don’t need this…the focus is earth and us…
thanks james and phyllo…this is not an organization…it is an idea…there are many persons that want to connect with others in a loving way…they cant do it in a Christian church…so you take out the church and the Christ and the god…one of the persons you have left is the HUMAN jesus…his message of love may be helpful…
we better start freeing ourselves up…nobody else will…the power to do this lies within ourselves…a lot of people will fall by the wayside…they are not able to make it…
I like Buddhas teachings more than “Jesus”. He claimed he was the son of “god”. Buddha claimed he was just a man. The message is, we’re all gods. We all should be ourselves, individual selves. We should all strive to create happiness, to help Earth in a positive way, rather than send negative ripples in the first place. Buddha was also known as humble.
The Earth is a self correcting system, most of the environmentalists work for themselves for a more comfortable place to live, for them self. They don’t truly care about the planet. They care about being comfortable, on the planet.
A new order will require creativity. Here’s Wikipedia’s notation on theologian Nicholas Berdyaev–“He was preoccupied with creativity and in particular with freedom from anything that inhibited creativity, whence his opposition to a ‘collectivized and mechanized’ society.” We live in such a society.
I like Buddha…I like jesus…as far as jesus-----what does son of god mean…if you mean a god we need to throw it out…if he is human
then what is his message…it doesn’t matter even if there was no jesus…the message needs to be evaluated…that message did not come from god…the Christian god is out…that is a must…
I don’t know, but I don’t think there should be any mention of “God” it confuses people. So Buddha > Jesus. Buddha did not say anything about god, other than we are responsible for ourselves pretty much, we make our own paths, we have the influence/power to do these things. Why even use any god/man, there should only be references.
All derives out of knowledge and influence. Language being one of the biggest of influences, vocal, or scribed.
