I’m surprised how much the Old Testament talks about Leprosy and dealing with it: burning contaminated tents, corpses, using the ashes of burnt offerings for cleansing objects and people… “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” reference.
Leprosy is today’s ‘Zombie’ analogy. Lepers were the ‘Zombies’ of the ancient era.
Hey, I didn’t say it’s a good idea necessarily. It may work, it may not, I’m going to keep reading though and see what happens. Also I’ve got to search if any of today’s Jews practice the Jubilee…
God is an ENGLISH word.
The BIBLE was written for JEWS and GREEKS.
The ORIGINAL word is ELOHIM, which means a Council of Gods. The belief in one god is late-stage Abrahamic and doesn’t even compute, since they believe Jesus is the son of God and therefore believe in multiple gods anyway.
.
The bible most likely is a Jewish bootleg version of some other religion. For example, how Marvel comics is a Jewish bootleg version of Nordic gods. So if you apply an inverse transform matrix on Marvel Comics, then you get the original Nordic gods. If you could apply a similar inverse transform algorithm on the Bible then you might be able to find the original religion it was derived from.
No it is not an analogy, it is not a “metaphor” it refers to a real medical condition. Back then they didn’t understand what bacteria and mold was
The only book of the bible that is meant to be a “metaphor” is Revelations. And some of the “parables” probably.
“It thus appears that Isaac the Blind was a follower of the doctrine of the ultimate ‘restoration of Satan,’ the apocatastasis. Since, as is well known, Judaism recognized no official dogmatic authority that was entitled to determine the content of the faith, this question too, which played such an important role in the history of the Christian churches, remained open and a subject of dispassionate discussion. Opinions were divided, and many mystics adhered to the ‘restoration’ doctrine. Later kabbalistic theories exhibiting the same tendency, such as Joseph ibn Gikatilla’s Mystery of the Serpent, probably owe their inspiration to Isaac the Blind. What is curious in the case of Isaac is that Sammael did not fall from his exalted rank, as one would expect, at the time of Adam’s sin—for which the Aggadah holds him responsible—but only at the time of the battle against Amaleq. In this detail he was not followed by later kabbalists; even when they defended the doctrine of apocatastasis they placed it in relation to the reestablishment of the harmony of all things, which had been disturbed by Adam’s original sin. However, also for ibn Gikatilla (as for Isaac), the serpent drew his original power directly from the sacred domain of the emanations, standing outside its ‘walls’ and acting as the genius of the entire sublunar world. There, too, the rebellion of the serpent introduces disorder into the harmonious union of the worlds and isolates Sammael as genius of evil.
Isaac’s view that the supreme angelic powers draw their influx directly from the tenth sefirah is also found in Ezra, who attests to having received ‘from the lips of the son of the master,’ that is, from Isaac the Blind, the doctrine ‘that Metatron is only a messenger, and not a specific thing bearing that name. Rather, every messenger is called in Greek metator, and perhaps the messengers received the influx of the [tenth sefirah] named 'atarah to fulfill their mission.’ Metatron is therefore not a proper name at all but a designation for the whole category of celestial powers performing a mission. This conception is far more prosaic than that taught by his father, the Rabad (cf. the passage quoted, p. 212), in his commentary on the Talmud. Is this the whole truth about Isaac’s view, or merely an occasional remark? No other kabbalist ever denied the existence of a specific angelic being called Metatron, even if he adopted Isaac’s etymology. The etymology itself is apparently taken from the old talmudic dictionary ‘Arukh of Nathan ben Yehiel of Rome, which was well known in Provence (as metator). Isaac obviously did not think of identifying Metatron with the last sefirah, the Shekhinah, although the identification is found later, among the first generation of Catalan kabbalists.”

In the Bible I’m reading, God’s Name is “I AM that I AM”. Are you referring to God’s / LORD’s Name as Elohim? Many Old Testament Abrahamics perceive the slandering or defilement of the Lord’s (True) Name as the gravest sacrament, earning an immediate Death Sentence. Moslems and Islam, for example, practice by the depicting of Prophet Muhammad, which is punishable by Death.
I believe most of the Old Testament is copied from Zoroastrianism and also Greek Mythos, Jews copied both in their compilations of the Torah / Talmud.
You misunderstand… I’m not denying the reality of Leprosy. I’m saying that today’s depiction of Zombies or Ghouls (Fallout 4) are analogous to Leprosy of the Ancient Era. Much of the Old Testament is about rituals of ‘cleansing’, washing, burning, in order to stop the spread of Leprosy within the Israelite tribes. It is a 1:1 analogy to today’s “Zombie” kind, aside from the being totally Undead of course.
Yea idk. Genesis 1 refers to Elohim, which is plural, El is singular. But they use singular pronouns. I feel like we are debating a bunch of schizo nonsense trying to understand a bunch of desert schizos.
Like I said the bible is probably just a bootleg jewish version of some other religion.
Yup. It’s like the remastered BBC sessions semitic mythology double CD set. All the old Egyptian and Sumerian classical memes are in there… Pythagoras, Platonus, Plato, Pendejo, et al.
Are you using the Torah / Hebrew Bible?
I’m reading a Protestant American Bible. That’s probably the difference of translation. I disagree though. The Bible is clearly the Western Zeitgeist, the ‘Western’ Spirit, the Memeology / Memeplex. It is the basis of Western Literacy. It is the book used in the expansion of the West, to teach frontier families, settlers, children, how to read and write. The base text of the West, is the Bible.
It doesn’t matter whether you believe it or not, whether it is real or not, to me it deserves respect.
If you do not respect it, then you are fundamentally against the West and all Western people.
It means that you are completely Anti-social, and would like to see Western Civilization fall into chaos and ruin. That’s how it’s symbolic to me. People need a foundation, a platform, to maintain a society. Nietzsche proved that without God holding up Western Civilization, then anything is possible (like the rise of Pagan National Socialist Germany). Obviously Pagans are the ones most to gain from destabilizing Abrahamism. Even then, you would likely need to read and understand the Zeitgeist, in order to destroy it (if you Choose to).
Epimethius, calling himself Promethean… identifying with anarchy whilst promoting authoritarian Marxism, is Semite…..more of a Semite than many of those claiming the title.
So, you must udnerstand there’s a genetic impulse to lean towards Judaic messianism…he needs the scapegoat, but not the god figurehead. He needs the collective, but with a paradoxical anarchic twist. Anarco-Marxism. Bakunin? Kropotkin?
He needs the god of the Testaments, but without making it obvious. More abstract…more Platonic.
all im saying is why do we need the old testament, as part of religion. Old testament as part of religion is like saying white people should be jews. Otherwise why is it in there? The point of jesus was salvation to all races.
why is the old testament in there except for white people to be jews? and to follow the old testament laws? people dont read the old testament purely for entertainment purposes. its there to create a schizism in religion so that people can be jews and circumcizion dicks. Mr. A was kicked out of church by a priest to freeze in the cold because he is homeless. That’s not very Jesus like behavior. Many christians behave in an old testament manner. The old testament is there to create a schizism in religion.
anyway the ai says you are correct and most american christians dont take the bible literally, but it simply doesn’t seem that way to me. if you look at typical “american christianity” for example TP USA, TP USA fans, TP USA affiliates, etc. they give off the vibe of “the bible is literal” and religious zealotry and such. also i been to churches before and they all take the bible literal every one of em that i been to and their congregation.
