It still wouldn’t be you playing — it would be the AI doing it. If you’re aware of it, it’s like being in a whirlwind … all the games orbiting in your mind, and you can only catch/influence what you can focus on. In order to be fully aware/influential, you have to choose—forsaking the rest of the whirlwind with (essentially) selective hearing/listening. For beings subject to time.

I started playing a new version of Pandemic, Pandemic Legacy: Season 1. It’s very similar to the original game, except that with each play-through the game change.
The viruses, characters, and individual cities accumulate permanent changes based on how well the players do. Viruses can become uncurable, characters can gain new abilities and handicaps, and cities gain permanent research centers or fall into chaos and prevent direct travel to or from the city.
Even the rules change. There are new objectives that trigger events, and stickers that are added to the rule book to change gameplay (I haven’t encountered any yet, but there are blank spaces in the rulebook for them).
Exactly how the game changes also depends on how well you do, there are different paths depending on whether and to what extent you succeed.
I got the game from a free box not knowing what to expect, but I love Pandemic, so I thought I’d check it out. I’d heard of games where permanent changes happen over time, so I’m interested to try out the concept and see how it evolves.

Oh incidentally , my grandson rated 600 beat me, and I feel ok about it though surprised, he says he hasn’t played a year, and me playing every day. Well masochism is part of impriving ‘chess character’ a which is the cure for overestimating contention.
