Conspiracies?

Why hold others to a lower standard than you hold yourself to?

How many times have the elite been overthrown in history? How about overthrowing the people and the culture? that would be something new.

that my friend is a virtue.

for better or for worse?

Wonderer, sounds like you need to get down here! We need more people like yourself.

Down where exactly? What cause?

The U.S? Haven’t you already read my titanic thread?

I am firm in belief that the U.S is on the road to massive failure, and I believe there is a very real chance of the big wigs locking down the bulk head doors before it goes down…’

It’s scary… I want to move to China…

I assume you’re all talking about the U.S. so I’ll do likewise.

As you mentioned, getting to the “bad guys” is very hard. Even if we manage to somehow get to the string-pullers, the manipulators and masterminds, we would only clear the way for other filthy bastards to get to the top. The current situation is a result of the way our system is and human nature. We can’t change human nature and we shouldn’t be so short-sighted as to address the problem with killing people just to be replaced by others. They are where they are because there is an opportunity in the way things are shaped. Re-shape the way things work; Take the opportunity away and no-one will get there to begin with. The only way is to change the system.

I’ve noticed that most Americans cling to the U.S. constitution like it was lowered from heaven by a bunch of angels or something. Somehow people think that the only reason the U.S. has problems is that they’re not following the constitution well enough. Bullshit. The constitution IS part of the reason why you’re where you are.

Americans have been brainwashed with big words like liberty, democracy and freedom. I don’t mean to say these are bad things but can you believe the shit they shove down your throats under the guise of those names?

I think our political ideals need to be re-evaluated.

Industry is the underlying cause of it all. The massive corporations get the money they need to control the government.

you guys should watch a video called “From the wilderness- The CIA connection”

theres a link to it online somewhere in this forum…

Yeah, that’s the video Satyr posted in the OP for this thread.

lmao well i’ll be… sometime my mind gets so far ahead of itself i miss the little things…

I used to studder… they say that’s basically what causes it.

Conspiracy: An act preformed secretly because the masses are too ignorant to know what is in their best interest.

Conspiracy of Silence [-(

Howsmartare Americans? The land of the free, the home of the brave? :-$

Development certainly is if that’s what you mean. But from whence do the “massive corporations” get their money? Sure, in a sense they do just print it, but a good chunk comes from the people who buy, say, their cars and trucks. The establishment is happy to have anger and accusations directed at them; not at the real culprits, the people and the culture.

Well right, it’s the value of what the money represents. People sit back and watch TV, intaking all of these advertisements, and enough people are dumb enough to buy into the whole scheme. Well, it’s hard to really have a choice at this point.

I don’t think there’s hope for capitalism.

Sure there is hope, people just have to become aware of what they purchase, research the product and the dealers, then question the reason they want or need it and then bargain over the price. Lazy consumerism a real problem. People do not shop anymore they just buy. It is generally cheaper to refit your car to a hybrid rather than buy a ready made hybrid car. It takes research though. That takes time and time is obviously a precious commodity even though it takes more time to pay off the brand new hybrid as opposed to refiting your existing car. The cost of an hour today is worth more than fifty hours tomorrow. :unamused:

Well, people need to get home to watch the news!

What Democracy?

Government is the underlying cause of it all. If government didn’t exist there wouldn’t be a single coercive entity able to exercise control over an entire population for corporations to buy in the first place.

if there was no government then the world would break out in massive fuedal wars. people would build castles, and then you can kiss your quiet time by the lake goodbye.

I also don;t like your reasoning in the sense that in the same way you implicate government in the process of providing access of “wall-mart” to the population, i could implicate air. or cars even

Cars make it possible for Wall-mart to transport their goods. It’s their fault!.

no, the fault that one being abuses another should not be blamed on the surrounding or environment.

The blame should be placed entirely on the abuser.

The abuser is not the government, it is people. They might abuse their positions within the government, but that’s just people abusing the government.
