Convicted Felon Donald J. Trump

Trump has been convicted of 34 felony counts. It doesn’t seem like it was a hard choice for the jury, taking only about 10 hours to deliberate.

Time will tell how it plays out from here, how he’ll fare on appeal and what his sentence will be. But one way or another this is a watershed moment for the United States.

The watershed moment was when they started their campaign of political persecution, over 6 years ago.

This is just a continuation.

Yeah, I can’t believe what these twelve randomly selected people did to Trump 6 years ago.

The current government has been taking all its Peoples on a ride, and you’ve all been unanimously letting them do it.

America, and Americans, deserve better!

You studied however many years in college and passed the bar, and can’t deal with “continuation?”

That’s always the attitude too, like “what, he’s just a lawyer doing his job.”

You don’t think that small of an amount of respect for people’s intelligence comes through?

That’s President Donald J. Trump to you, punk.

@PZR, what are you even claiming? That Trump didn’t do the things he’s accused of doing? That the things he did aren’t crimes? That other people aren’t prosecuted for those crimes?

Or that the criminal laws don’t apply to Trump?

Hey how’s Brexit working out for you?

A new standard has been set that we prosecute presidents. Next up is Biden.

…and since Joe can’t follow the rules of handling classified documents he needs his security clearance revoked.

We prosecute people who break the law.

Every Biden supporter I know would tell you that Biden should go to jail for any crimes he commits – before, during, or after his term(s). Would every Trump supporter you know say the same about Trump?

You think the US legal system is not perfect? Every Biden supporter I know would agree. What country’s legal system would you prefer? How would you like to hold our leaders to account?

And I’d ask of you the same questions I asked of Pedro:

I thought this was about President Donald J. Trump committing crimes?

Now there is some overarching political agenda?

My God I’m shocked.

There is a reason presidential immunity is a thing.

Political persecution is an ancient and venerable practice.

But the shitfacery of you people. It’s incredible.

Carleas, the thing is, the appeal process will extend to after the election, and it may work for him, even if it goes all the way to the highest court, some of the judges there were placed by Trump!

Please notice that you got here when I responded, and not when someone said “America, and Americans, deserve better!”.

The question in this case was and is: Did Donald J. Trump falsify documents in order to cover up his election fraud?

Please tell me in detail how the lies Trump used to secure his election are covered by any version of “presidential immunity”.

Seriously: When do you think Trump did the things he was found guilty for doing today, and why do you think they are covered by “presidential immunity”?

Was Trump the president when he did these crimes?

For some portion of the population, Trump being a felon absolutely will work in his favor. Some people don’t care about the rule of law, or about holding all citizens to the same standard.

But saying that out loud over and over again will make that portion of the population smaller and smaller with each repetition:

Trump is a proven liar, and people don’t like liars. Trump defrauded the people to get elected, and he lied to cover up how he defrauded the people. He’s a fraud, he’s a liar, and he will be a liar and a fraud if he’s elected president again.

It’s worth repeating, so that anyone who still supports him has to hear themselves say the obviously ridiculous things necessary to believe his nonsense, so anyone who denies it has to affirm out loud the depths to which their sycophancy has driven them.

Trump is full of shit. Force his supporters to chew their cud, and let the smell speak for itself.

And yet his support is unabating and looks like even among some primarily Democratic states he is leading….

Americans do deserve better, than your shitfacery, all the more disgusting for its transparency. But it’s one of those Zizekian things like with the horseshoe: the way ideology works is not that you believe you are persecuting him for the crimes you state, but that you believe the formal case exists such that it cannot be denied, even though it is both not true nor believed by any actual persons.

The tldr, as you say, is that what you responded with is telling. You didn’t say “America deserves better than a criminal!” You brought up something specific, and of a specific nature.

Seriously?

I went through the first 20 or so trumped up charges since you started this shamelesness over 6 years ago, until I understood there was no honesty in any of it. I also come from a country where political persecution is commonplace and know well how it works. There is hilariously little variability in these things.

You don’t like his politics, so you look for and find any excuse you can trump up to eliminate him by any means.

Old as time.

I mean if it were the first trumped up charge. It’s been since he won the first time. Why do you think it’s so important for you to pretend you don’t know what “continuation” means?

It’s shameless, and you don’t seem to ever stop and think what message you are sending your political adversaries:

Fuck the political process. If we don’t like you, we will put you in jail.

You’re not saying it to convince “Trump supporters,” who obviously will not be fazed by any of this insane shit.

You are saying it to convince yourself. You have to do it that way, over and over and louder and louder and preferably covering your ears.

Good start
