Enlightenment, ataining it, any tips?

In theory, there are many forms of “enlightenment”,
and gaining them is a step by step journey,
and an eternal motion towards the “next level”…

Do you have any advice or tips on how to gain these and understand them?

All im doing is takeing in information, understanding it peace by peace,
and also trying to “want nothing” and stop isolateing and judgeing individual peaces or factors of my existance, and instead just understand them, and have some sort of contious/sub-contious/all emotion and thought harmonic intigration thing that is hard to hold onto for any amount of time…

Its like un-learning hate, fear, craveing, and judgement…
Darn, i dunno if i can describe my personal meditation,
if it even counts as meditation.
i call it “psytrogation”.

So… any pointers!?

I believe I’ve attained what is commonly called ‘enlightenment’ - though only at times, and few and far between are these. The single similarity between all of its occurences has been the disjunction of myself with my usual surroundings: trips. I indeed have in mind LSD and marijuana, though other kinds of trips are also appropriate: solitary vacations to mountains, deep woods, desert, or coastline. Take a week and ride a bicycle a hundred miles from home. Take a month and walk as far as you can before turning around.

The key is to distance yourself from everything that normally constitutes ‘yourself’ … and ride the wave. Chances are you’ll return home a different person.

The key to enlightenment is to not seek it and just be yourself. Of course, you have to figure what that means first. Once you do though what will happen is that you will be in a state of Being and living on Earth.

I agree in principle, one cannot explicitly ‘seek’ enlightenment, but I do not agree it will just come by way of doing what you always do, i.e. ‘just be yourself’. Isn’t that what eveyone who doesn’t attain enlightenment do anyway? I suspect you have in mind the notion most people aren’t ‘themselves’ in the Nietzchean-Socratic sense of ‘become who you are’; yet I’ve never quite gotten my head around the suggestion a person can be anything aside from themselves.

No, many people are fake in that they act as they think they should act and never get to know themselves. To know that you are going to die and that getting the chance to perform as you are is the best that it can get and is as close to enlightenment as it gets. Be awake and aware because one day you will be dead.

Actualy i realized that partial psytrogation is like a switch now for me,
that i can turn on or off.
When i write under this state, i do not think or know what i am going to write down, but it is writin and the mind is silant.

I sort of developed this ability, as i would compose songs.
I would slow down the ideas and streatch out hours of work vs a few minutes of song.

This is slowing the sub-contious, remembering it,
then working it out or expressing it contiously.

illativemindindeed’s personal “meditation” is perhaps the widening of inner comprehention + awareness of thi own powers.
it would be a humble experiment if i were to try this on my own,
instead of just doing my own thing,
so sure, ill give it a shot :slight_smile:

The final one is new to me, i got a new view & focus about somthin.
Very simply put:
“1 organ or sence speeks to the contiousness.
You do not look at this as if you were a slave to it,
or as if you were to repress it,
but look at the 1 organ or feeling,
and then how it partians to the meaning of…
the entire body.”

So then i realized why sertain things looked sexualy attractive to me,
and the meaning was the physical sexual potential of thee,
and then my blind want at obtaining what was possable for thee,
though i did not know thee.
So now id like to stop looking at sexy shit,
though id stopped that a while ago already.
Its not repression, but lack of greed that i want to practice.

Looking with depth at the meaning of all feelings,
surely makes someone be more wholistic and balanced in life.

I believe the key to enlightenment can be summed up as morality. One must follow the moral voice in your head and all other things will fall in place.

stare at a dictionary, try to see just the shape of the words, see the negative space around the black. try not to read the word. once your vision gets locked in , slowly move your vision around the page, and try to keep foccused. feel the imprints of the words, on your vision. see past the ego of objects, just see their shape, and shades. lucid dream. listen to music, without judging it in words, just listen, and observe how your stomach feels, literly. if someone calls you a fucker, dont think " should i be mad…?" just feel what the word does to your stomach…be your feelings not your thoughts. eventually try to have all your thoughts come directly from emotion…when talking to a freind, try not to plan out what your going to say, before you say it, plan it out while your saying it. do everything slower, eat cheez - its one at a time, theres no rush.

listen to bjork . get in the present time, and move. learn to dance.

if your thouhts arnt coming from emotion, and you know it , this is what you do. “arange your fake thoughts in aesthetic compositions. once you do this your fake thoughts become your real art. when your thoughts are your art, you are yourself. wear sweaters at christmas time, and sit next to the fire, become part of the painting, try to add to the composition. become fine art. when buttoning your shirt, in a panic and blur, stop, ask yourself how do i button shirts? walk out of school, if you feel like leaving. send love letters, if you feel like falling in love. say to yourself " o.k., im dreaming, what do i do in dreams?” find other dreamers and ride bikes together, listen to the same song on headphones, as your peddling toward everything.

be the kind of person you would want to watch a movie about. what ever you respect, is what you are. figure out what you admire, and be it. no one is born aggresive. if your aggressive, but you wish you were born like a flower, be the flower. the fact that you want it means you were it all along. also you have to remember that there is no basis for sanity. the guy playing piano, is tyring his best to be “normal” , just as you are. everyone is guessing how to act, guess in pastel, and your eyes wont hurt.

you want to find enlightenment try doing an honest days work …come round here again shouting about communist ideaology and the use of marijuana near my family and i WILL shoot you

illative–what is your take on pschedelics. do you consider them eating the fruit? i can think realy well on them, and i think they bring me somewhere around enlightenment. would me doing them being going against the force of good? are psychedelics deceptive. or does it depend on the user? i guess my question is; can a good person do good on psychedelics. or are they just here as a distraction, from the real thing? for the most part my trips have seemed to be like im directing them, and thinking freely. yet there are numereous people that swear up and down, that mushrooms are a spiritual entity, seperate from humans. i dont want to except gifts from a force that could be evil. what do i do ?

i think if i had a girlfreind i could play the piano again. its like one needs love to truly be gracefull. im on empty. i can still self actualize in art, because it apears one doesnt need to be full with love, to balance shapes. to anyone wondering what enlightenment is, look at a classroom of first graders. notice how what they are thinking about is all they are thinking about. if youv ever had the perfect teacher you will know, what im talking about. you have to make your life the way you imagined your first grade teachers was like. real .
