Once again, the referees protect the big teams. Germany were getting battered until Ballack’s shove on the Portuguese defender to make it 3-1.
The rest of the half was just giving Germany free kicks to break up Portugal’s momentum and alleviate the pressure on the German goal.
Still, it’s alright, Croatia will thrash Germany and win the tournament. Praise be to Bilic!

I think Turkey showed great spirit. Yes they were not the better team and everyone knew it, but they stuck to their task, and never NEVER gave up. Often in football that is what pulls you through games more than skill and natural talent.
Interesting fact, Turkey have only been leading in the four games they have played for 5 mins. A true embodiment of never giving up.
That, and the referee giving you a lot of free kicks.
