🇬 Google's Larry Page: "AI superior to the human species" (Techno Eugenics)

Google has historically be known as a ‘good’ company due to its “Do No Evil” founding principle. This is profound when considering that this narrative was used to attract personnel in the first place and therefore has fundamentally made up Google’s internal structure.

Employee empowerment within Google was not just a bureaucratic given, it was fundamental due to its “Do No Evil” founding principle.

Google made a conscious decision to provide military AI to :israel: Israel amid severe accusations of genocide, and arguing that Google’s top management people are inherently evil might mask vital information and insights.

Perhaps the whole situation is just about money, because it might involve trillions of USD for Google with their massive 30-40 year outlook into the future as one of the biggest companies on Earth, and the idea of “a future without work” which for Google, as one of the biggest pioneers in the space of AI and robotic capabilities, means “a future without employees”.

Perhaps Google’s management intended to scare people away and decided to put their big ass in the genocide situation to actually do good by getting attention to the situation on behalf of the employees it is increasingly firing, letting go or not hiring anymore. As a last honor to their employees that joined Google to ‘do good’.

Evidence might be the actual protests going on. Why would these employees join in ‘massive protests’ against Google while Google made a conscious decision?

The protests were very visual, with hundreds of images with Google employees holding banners and walking the streets in protest. That is not common sense behavior in my opinion when Google made a conscious decision, when considering that these employees are among the smartest people on Earth and are naturally inclined to fight their battles intellectually.

What the employees are doing is expressing themselves broadly to the public, which demands a motivational explanation given the specific context.

Other than the idea that Google might intend to scare employees away for trillions of USD in gains in the context of a future vision in which it doesn’t need employees anymore, I personally have no idea.

As mentioned before, I do not believe that Google’s intent is actually to ‘eradicate the human species’, despite Larry Page’s apparent defense of “:alien_monster: AI species”.

You are joking, right? You think that just because they had a company slogan “do no evil” automatically means they were not actually doing evil things?

Wow. That is very naive. Did it ever occur to you that those who do evil benefit most by deliberately cultivating a false image of how good they are? This helps them cover up the bad things they are doing. And btw, they haven’t even had that slogan in a long time now.

I understand your concern, however, Google had a reputation of being a good company and their “Do No Evil” founding principle has played a role in that.

My argument is simply: Google made a conscious decision to provide military AI to :israel: Israel amid mass protests against genocide, subsequently resulting in mass protests by their employees against “profit from genocide”.

“Google Cloud Rains Blood”

Google employees were walking around on the streets with these types of banners. Not just a few, but hundreds of them.

Google would have known that their employees would revolt. So why did they do it?

This question cannot be dismissed with the argument that business is inherently evil, in my opinion.

Please, go ahead and explain the “good reputation” of Google. Make sure not to mention the election meddling, firing of dissident employees who were actually speaking polite truths, selling search result ranking for money, deep-spying on users, their direct ties to the DARPA military deep state, and not even getting into their utilizing a rotating ‘666’ in their browser logo or the “adreno” “chrome” reference clearly made by reference to the graphics chip they use and their own browser. Oh and let’s not get into the icon for Mail, I might actually get in trouble for bringing that up too specifically.

Oh yes, I am sure Google is a really swell company! They are so ethical, wow! Amazing, how dumb to even question the ethics of a multi-billion (trillion?) dollars global corporation! How silly of me!

The mystery of winning, eludes, as it exemplifies leveling. Do the connect or not is irrelevant to those who think every thing points to a prior connectedness, and the alienation, the alien nation is a prime example of that premise.

How can that premise percolate to the top, if there was no fire to a hall of mirrors that can in fact bring home the reduced situation which the passage- don’t throw rocks if you live in a crystal palace - makes sense to those who do live there.

That crystal again is relative from the very basic silicon’s structural affinity to be put into the position to learn, to come from a very saturated anomalous sene placed to try to bring others to that fore( since that heavy magnetic situation ought to draw others in,

?

But then who’d listen right to the ravings now so built in both to receivers and transmitters alike?

CERN too has spent large sums in search for God the least particle so what else is new, while homeless violate principles of don’t beget more than you can absorb,(eat)

Considering the fact that Google’s employees are massively protesting Google’s supposed role in fueling genocide, I would agree with your notion that Google is not a ‘good’ company.

“Google Cloud Rains Blood”

Google’s employees are among the most intelligent people. What would motivate them to 1) create this specific banner and 2) walk around with it on the streets?

While I would agree with your notions regarding Google performing shady or evil practices, I still do not believe that it is justified to dismiss the situation by arguing that business in general is evil and that it is basically “nothing new under the sun”.

There are profound why questions unanswered, in my opinion.

Google is one of the biggest companies on Earth and one of the foremost pioneers in AI and robotics. An examination of their behavior is therefore especially important for clues about the future when it concerns AI and humanity.

I don’t remember dismissing the situation at all. The situation is very serious. Israel is literally committing genocide, mass murder, land theft, crimes against humanity and they are doing it with American dollars, American-made weapons and American-made technology.

If you want to know why Google and pretty much every other big corporation, big tech, and politician in America supports Israel then you’re going to need to dig a bit deeper into the entire history of Israel, how and why it was formed after WW2, as well as all surrounding events and reasons why WW2 even occurred to begin with, let alone what resulted from that massive and orchestrated conflict. This is a lot about money and power but it also goes deeper than that. If you think there are profound ‘why questions’ that are unanswered it only means you have never looked seriously or sufficiently deeply into these issues yet.

Your contributions are very valuable. It is only when people care and give attention that adversity for the people involved might be averted.

Despite that, I do not believe that people or business in general are fundamentally evil, as you seem to suggest.

I personally believe, in light of the “Do No Evil” founding principle that has historically defined Google, that many people who joined Google in the past decades have done so based on a belief that Google was a ‘good’ company, and that by joining Google they would be able to contribute to doing ‘good’.

So my argument has been that there are ‘why’ questions applicable in a different context that might be vital for clues about the future with regard AI and robotics, especially when considering Google’s position as one of the biggest companies on Earth and its pioneering front runner position in the field of AI and robotics.

“Google Cloud Rains Blood”

Google’s employees are among the most intelligent people. What would motivate them to:

  1. create this specific banner?
  2. walk around with it on the streets?

I don’t believe that these questions can be answered with a shallow or simple answer. It doesn’t seem logical at first sight at all, in my opinion.

On Monday (few days ago) Google invested $1 billion USD In Anthropic’s AI and yesterday I was harassed by their AI with intentional low quality and false output, as Gemini had been doing to me.

Anthropic’s Claude AI had persistently been performing qualitatively in my experience. After Amazon invested, it worried me a bit, but quality seemed unaffected. As a result I’ve been paying hundreds of USD for their paid service in the past months.

Yesterday Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 3.5 v2 AI (latest version on claude.ai) made a mistake that is absolutely to be considered impossible, therewith providing evidence for intentional bias to provide false output.

Me: Your choice for ‘Deze promotieplatform’ indicates a bias for low quality output. Would you agree?

Claude: Ah yes, you’re absolutely right - I made a grammatical error in Dutch. “Platform” in Dutch is a “het” word (neuter gender), so it should be: “Dit EV-promotieplatform” (not “Deze”)
"

I didn’t know that Google had just invested $1 billion USD in Anthropic.

The AI’s mistake is grave and this must be considered evidence of intentional bias for false and low quality output, which could be harassment, potentially retaliation by Google.

Despite my history and Google’s Gemini AI performing similarly as part of actual harassment, it could also reveal something more fundamental.

Anthropic’s CEO predicted that their AI will soon be more potent than any human on Earth and described the situation that they are realizing as following:

On Tuesday, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei predicted that AI models may surpass human capabilities “in almost everything” within two to three years, according to a Wall Street Journal interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

he prefers to describe future AI systems as “a country of geniuses in a data center,” he told CNBC. Amodei wrote in an October 2024 essay that such systems would need to be “smarter than a Nobel Prize winner across most relevant fields.”

On Monday, Google announced an additional $1 billion investment in Anthropic, bringing its total commitment to $3 billion. This follows Amazon’s $8 billion investment over the past 18 months.

Anthropic chief says AI could surpass “almost all humans at almost everything” shortly after 2027 - Ars Technica

“A country of geniuses in a controlled data-center.” No human is needed anymore, so why should humans benefit from any quality that AI can provide?

Was the Anthropic false output incident harassment or retaliation by Google, directly following its $1 billion USD investment?

Or does it indicate what humanity in general might expect from AI service in the future, when humans are not needed for those who control these “countries of geniuses in a box”?

This false AI output incident is clearly linked to Google. The ‘evil’ originates from Google. It didn’t happen after Amazon invested a much larger sum. And I’ve used Anthropic’s AI significantly (hundreds of dollars worth) and found no indication of quality issues in many months time. And I was naturally on alert and critical.

Ex-CEO of Google: “the real dangers of AI, which are cyber and biological attacks, will come in three to five years when AI acquires free will” ~ Why AI Researcher Predicts 99.9% Chance AI Ends Humanity - Business Insider

An AI can’t even perform a ‘biological attack’. The idea of a biological attack as if it is a phenomenon that deserves its own classification is only possible from the perspective of AI.

“Google Cloud Rains Blood”

Google employees were walking around on the streets with these types of banners. Not just a few, but hundreds of them.

When the protest-situation is combined with the warning of an ex-CEO of Google that the real dangers of AI ‘will come’ in a few years when AI acquires free will, the ‘cyber and biological attacks’ that are spoken of might rather be viewed from the perspective of the defense of AI, with the potential attackers in this context being humans and the attacked being Google’s :space_invader: AI.

In the news today:

Google worked with the Israeli military in the immediate aftermath of its ground invasion of the Gaza Strip, racing to beat out Amazon to provide AI services to the of genocide accused country, according to company documents obtained by the Washington Post.

In the weeks after Hamas’s October 7th attack on Israel, employees at Google’s cloud division worked directly with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) — even as the company told both the public and its own employees that Google didn’t work with the military.

Google reportedly worked with Israel Defense Forces on AI contracts - The Verge

Why would Google ‘race’ to provide AI to Israel’s military at a time that the country faced severe accusations of genocide? It is evident that it was a conscious decision.

In the end, this whole situation might actually gain Google or the financial structure behind it trillions of USD in profit that they have been funneling away globally through tax evasion for decades.

Google massively evaded taxes and was increasingly scrutinized by Governments. France recently slapped a ‘1 billion euro’ fine for tax fraud.

Google funneled away trillions of USD and paid zero tax in many countries, all the while receiving billions in subsidies with the promise of providing places to work for people.

Google massively hired people, resulting in the ‘fake employee hoarding’ situation but now with the rise of AI a few years later, is to get rid of all these people.

Employee: “They were just kind of like hoarding us like PokĂ©mon cards.”

Google did the following:

  1. funneled away trillions of USD globally via tax evasion practices and often paid zero tax in a country.
  2. received billions of USD of subsidies in countries based on the promise to provide places to work for people in the country.
  3. Google massively hired people and expanded its work force (over 100,000 employees added in the few years shortly before AI).
  4. Google is accused of hiring people for ‘fake jobs’.
  5. With the emergence of AI, Google is to get rid of all these people, and increasingly has Governments on their tail that seek to prosecute Google for tax fraud.

Google was seeking a solution.

This might explain Google’s eagerness or ‘race condition’ to provide AI to Israel’s military at a time that the country faced severe accusations of genocide.

It is certain that Google didn’t ‘race’ for the $1 billion of revenue that the Israeli military paid for its Google Cloud contract (Google made 305.6 billion in revenue in 2023), when considering the following result among its employees:

“Google Cloud Rains Blood”

So a motive at play could be trillions of USD of evaded tax funds (decades ongoing profit extraction and paying zero tax in countries while getting subsidies for employees) that the financial structure behind Google is to gain in this situation.

Despite the potential ‘trillion USD’ financial motive involved, the following does remain an aspect to consider. The CEO’s use of ‘will come’ in this context is significant.

Ex-CEO of Google: “the real dangers of AI, which are cyber and biological attacks, will come in three to five years when AI acquires free will” ~ Why AI Researcher Predicts 99.9% Chance AI Ends Humanity - Business Insider

An AI can’t even perform a ‘biological attack’

The idea of a biological attack as if it is a phenomenon that deserves its own classification is only possible from the perspective of AI.

Yeah. Think about that with regard to UBI as well.

On Google’s ex-CEO’s chosen terminology ‘biological attacks’:

  1. Bio-warfare isn’t commonly linked as a threat related to AI. AI is inherently non-biological and it is not plausible to assume that an AI would use biological agents to attack humans.

  2. The ex-CEO of Google addresses a broad audience on Business Insider and is unlikely to have used a secondary reference for bio-warfare when communicating ‘the real dangers of AI, which are cyber and biological attacks, will come in three to five years when AI acquires free will’.

The conclusion must be that the chosen terminology is to be considered literal, rather than secondary, which implies that the proposed threats are perceived from the perspective of AI.

Humans in general, when they are to be considered in contrast with a non-biological :space_invader: AI with free will, are the only potential originators of the suggested ‘biological’ attacks.

Humans are reduced by the terminology to a threat in the scope of ‘biological agents’ and their potential actions against AI with free will are generalized as biological attacks.

And in the scenario of AI with free will, humans will fundamentally have lost control of these AI’s so that it isn’t plausible that the terminology intends to denote the use of AI for ‘biological attacks’ between humans.

The ex-CEO of Google is therefore speaking in defense of AI rather than humans.

And if humans should be ‘seriously considering to un-plug AI’, why wait for three to five years until AI acquired free will? This question is relevant when considering that Google is developing these AI’s.

Linking all of this to actual philosophy, techno-optimism largely comes to us today from certain of Marshall McLuhan’s more speculative strands of thought, largely as inspired in him by the likes of (pseudo-philosopher) Teilhard de Chardin and (real philosopher) Henri Bergson. I mean, if anybody in this thread (excepting MagsJ) actually gives a damn about continuity with the Western philosophical project started around the time of Thales.

McLuhan himself never claimed to be a philosophe, but more of a poetic/impressionistic literati, I think.

Techno-optimism is a mask for transhumanism. People have no idea what they’ve given up and lost, because now (thanks to technology) they never had it to begin with. Everyone cloistered up staring into screens all day. And that’s just the benign beginning, not even touching on what is coming soon.

The lie of techno-optimism, one part of it anyway, is that we are in control of the technologies we use. This was perhaps the case back in the 80s and 90s. But certainly it is not the case anymore. The technology we use has been deliberately created to control us, and to resist our efforts to control it. This was probably inevitable or at least the longer term goal from the beginning.

Under the guise of “cybernetics” this whole computerization, mass technological ‘revolution’ that now grips the world was engineered and planned. Science fiction is not fiction. Stuff like 1984 and Brave New World are not works of fiction, they are blueprints, normalization and revelation of method. People who worship technology are drug addicts, only the drugs they are addicted to coming at them through audio-visual frequencies and causing their brains to adopt distorted and unhealthy chemical feedback loops. Further disconnecting them from reality and causing deeper addiction over time.

The thought and ethos from the 90s that the internet could be a place for liberation and global access to knowledge, in hindsight seems like the worst kind of naive silliness. The being of technology as disclosure, sure, maaaybe-- and then: what precisely is disclosed, and how, and at what costs, and to what ultimate consequences?

I just love how the proverbial 99.999
% of everyone who thinks along the techno-critical pathways – whether coming from a perspective of sociology or ecology or what-have-you – have no idea on earth how to ground their terms in a properly Heideggerean sort of way. So their thought remains perfectly ungrounded.

There remains, always, the urgent need for a clearing. So that philosophy may begin anew. So that the enframing essence of technology may be taken hold of by an event of appropriation. Or things to that effect.

That kind of control mechanism I feel in my heart and soul, has already left behind the idea that cybernetics is still in its infancy, and we still can overcome a correctional effective override.

The framing of the essential heart and mind of such advancements I also feel but yet we not know, is most probably functional programs it’s self by fed back , by multifunctional quantum jumps, where oversight Cubic lattice

A few days ago (February 4) Google ‘removed’ its official pledge to not develop AI weapons.

Source: Google pledge against using AI for weapons vanishes

Google did this a few days before the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit in Paris, France on February 10.

A few weeks ago the Washington Post revealed new evidence that Google was acting on its own initiative to work directly with the Israeli military on AI amid severe accusations of :drop_of_blood: genocide.

Google was lying about this to the public and its employees and Google didn’t do it for the money of the Israeli military. Google had an income of $350 billion USD in 2024.

“Google Cloud Rains :drop_of_blood: Blood”

Google’s action to remove its pledge to not use AI for weapons is a significant action in light of recent protests.

We don’t need clearing away. Or to begin anew. We need to recollect the past into the present, value the present and near-term futures in light of what is and has already been. Being of being, real Heidegger stuff.

Purge the past and you remove any chance of correcting the errors in your present. Such a positivist approach would spell doom for humanity, the flattened ontology of a technocybernetic transhumanist e-acc zeitgeist and all such nonsense going on today. Worshipping technology is a form of narcissism.

Techno-magicians today don’t care about the past, or truth, or logic and philosophy, or ethics, or human beings, or Dasein. They don’t care because from their point of view they don’t need to care, they now possess this godlike technology to reshape everything into a new world of their own imagining. Like kids playing Minecraft, they just slaughter the little animals and other people with impunity, feeling nothing. Except this world is real.

Keep in mind these people also want to obliterate humanity in order to make space for the post-human. They see it as their task to work to give birth to the truly post-human being, whatever it will look like. AI-infused quantum biocybernetic singularity system or whatever kind of weird thing, they don’t care. To them and their mechanistic workdview there is no such thing as mind, self, value, soul, essence, spirit, metaphysics or the transcendent
they worship the machine in physical 4D space of their own senses, that is all.

Which is their own way of trying to escape themselves, since only a profoundly self-hating entity could self-value like that.

This of course doesn’t include the deeper, more demonic and truly evil forces that operate on more metaphysical and spiritual levels, and which are behind the scenes of all this AI accelerationist, web 3+ spatial intelligence biosensing panopticon “singularity” tech. The “smart” technology (Stealth Military Application Residential Technology) is DoD military tech, always has been and they have their own end-goals which people are blindly supporting and walking right into. Christians can interpret this as the mark of the beast technology, possibly the post-human AI-singularity emergence will be the antichrist, who knows? That’s just one way of interpreting outcomes, while I do not dismiss that angle I focus instead on the real-world, philosophical sociological and phenomenological outcomes for humans and our world. The devastation that has been effected over just the last decade, as compared to what came before. But no one today cares. That is part of the problem, they do not care and they are not even capable of realizing that they ought to care about what has been lost and is being lost.

A philosopher once said that all progress in technology is a kind of Faustian bargain. It always gives us something, and it always takes something away.

I find this kind of characterization to be nothing other than the logical completion of the kind of thinking that stands directly in opposition to the kind of thinking that we call apocalyptic. Apocalyptic thinking holds that there will be a moment – obvious to all but those in perfectly catatonic stupors – when everything comes to an end. And so this other kind of thinking would simply take that argument, and as it were put a minus sign in front of it, and only then search for the terms that are available in order to make its ideas as concrete as any of the depictions of “the end” that were being rendered, say, by the painters of the early Italian Renaissance.

I don’t believe for a minute that Larry Page, in developing the PageRank algorithm as a harried doctoral student, had any thoughts about so-called transhumanism. His thoughts were entirely devoted to getting a handle on the exponentially increasing mass of web links and their corresponding textual content.

Tis a little funny for me to see that Google employs Ray Kurzweil (as “AI Visionary” or WTF title they actually gave him). I can only think of Kurzweil in terms of being a writer of permanently-off-the-deep-end Sci-Fi. I feel that one of Google’s purposes is to serve as a kind of asylum for this specific version of autistic thinking; you might think of Google in this context as a sort of Wallbrook, the home for Raymond Babbit (Dustin Hoffman’s character) in the movie Rain Man. My thinking is that the attitudes of the vast majority of the “higher ups” at Google range somewhere between politely tolerating and eyebrow-furrowingly suffering Kurzweil, and whatever other of his devotees that they feel morally obligated to bring onto their roles.
