What? No one thinks this could have limitless philosophical potential? I’m sure you see why I put it in Science, Technology, and Math, right? (Although, I suppose it could have gone in Society, Government and Economics as well). But what does it say that AI technologies are moving in the direction of created “replacement girlfriends” for men? Is this happening for the other sex? Are women getting access to AI Robot Stud Muffins? ← I haven’t seen this so far but maybe it’s out there (or soon coming…). This has implications for the porn industry too. A lot of porn workers could soon be put out of a job. Not to mention for the whole sex industry all together. And to get even deeper, what are the moral ramifications of this? And what of the future of our species? But at the end of the day, that seems to be what’s on the horizon for men: AI Robot Girlfriends (but only if you’re rich (but then again, since when have women not cost money)).

I’m fairly sure those videos are Ai generated.
But yes there are some robot girlfriends IRL, but they are not as hot as the ones in the video. IRL ones are kinda in uncanny valley.
As for the philosophy of this, this could be a good way to detect souls. If a robot wife passes the turing test, but still doesn’t seem as a soul, this could prove or disprove souls and/or sentience in machines.
As for the social implications, I believe the trend is it will be affordable to the consumer. They try to make cars and computers affordable. And they are trying to make flying cars more affordable now. I think what we will see is men with harems of girlfriends, several robot gfs in their collection, as well as real life gfs, as well as futarani robots and also male robots. I believe robot gfs will give people more confidence and experience and then they are able to get human girlfriends easier.
They will want real, and the real will be just like the ones who say no… cuz we’re all AI.

When I say simulation I mean this is a false world, like a VR. Like in the real world we are in the Matrix movie and this is a false VR world. It doesn’t have to simulate anything, it might have entirely new physics of its own and the “real world” might have entirely different physics than this. In videogame land we call this sim and arcade. The world, this planet, might have “simulation physics”, like asseto corsa. Or it might have “arcade physics”, physics which are totally different from the real world. In fact take it a step further and if the physics of the real world are so different than ours, so alien, so incomprehensible, that it couldn’t even be called “arcade” physics. But I refer to both possibilities of “simulation” or “arcade physics”, when I say that this world is a “simulation”.
If this world is a false world… then the real world might not even use conventional computers but some kind of brand new computer that we can’t even understand in this world.
If we had the true world, we would be omniscient. Becoming aware that we’re in heaven is kind of like going from arcade physics more closely toward the true world.

Souls have always been around, even in inanimate things. Every molecule, every atom, every particle comes with some quality of subjective experience. What technologists are creating with AI is not consciousness, but a form of consciousness that mimics human beings.
Why get a IRL GF when the artificial kind are so much better. Want her to stop nagging? Reprogram her. Want her to cook you dinner? Program her to love cooking. Want her to put out more? Dial up her libido (what’s sex with a robot like anyway?).
If Kant were here, he’d say the real world is the world for noumena whereas this world is the world of phenomena (though he didn’t like calling the phenomenal world fake). This world isn’t fake, as far as I’m concerned, but there is more world beyond it, and that world is (for lack of a better word) metaphysical. Computers as such don’t exist there, but the experiences of metaphysical things in that world can give rise to this world, a simulation if you want to call it that.
Masculine jobs have been replaced by feminine jobs. Machines now do those jobs. Sexual attraction, in some females, seems to be about how much work a man can do. Some men are celibate because they work part time, or don’t have the looks of a model, or because they aren’t a normie, or because they don’t go to church.

Robo GFs don’t seem better to me, at least not right now. If they even come close to as good as a real GF then I will look into buying one.

I’ve thought of the idea of having sex with one of these robots (sometimes longer than I should), and I highly doubt the one’s in the videos above (and many others on the internet) have vaginas that work the way real vaginas work (though maybe FJ is right and those videos are fake), but it can’t be that difficult to make one that looks/feels real and behaves the way a real one behaves. It’ll happen, you’ll see.
Having babies, on the other hand, that’s a different matter. It’s not on the horizon, not even close, and may never come to fruition.
