Hidden Within the Lost - the Found

Memories streaming,
fan a flame familiar.
Green pools flowing ~
pre-dawn Being.

Melancholy kisses,
flickering reflections;
lightly, beacons graze.
Still Waters revealed.

Heart strings playing,
sad nocturnes echoing ~
awaken sleepy Waters.
Slowing, Sea becomes The Wave.

Eternal Reoccurrence ~
the rising, the falling;
yawning towards shore.
Sinking sensations.

Breathtakingly deluged,
a wistful immersion ~
reminiscent of Essence
within distant sands - Lost.

Ethereal musings,
a flapping of ancient Wings ~
now enters the Sea. Such Music!
Amazing – I become Reverie.

Arcturus: this piece reminds me of the recurrence of a lost, magical world. Simply beautiful, intricately woven, and subtly higlighted with hidden refrain.

…lost magical world ~ that expresses it profoundly and beautifully.

Thank you, obe, for feeling it.

I assume hidden within the lost, those who are modern, our contemporaries, is the found, the never lost, the primordial or “pre-dawn Being”. How can one find this?

Stuart, maybe read the poem again but only if you would like to. What does it remind you of?

sorry arc i screwed up…

I reread it and now I realize I had the lost and found mixed up. It reminds me of waiting to find the perfect spring.

Turtle, I’d say you got it just right though.

 Hi, little reptile. You’re allowed to screw up although I’m not so sure what you meant. I don’t have much time to read this and ponder it now. But no worries, as far as I am concerned - no one can screw up this poem - it’s a living breathing flowing experience for me.

And anyway, at least you felt you screwed up…there is awareness in that… many of never know when we do.

Maybe you have it backwards, Stuart. Maybe we don’t wait for the perfect Spring - they are all perfect. Perhaps it is the Springs which await us as they flow and flow…they await us patiently ~ hidden within the lost IS the found or that which has never ever left us to begin with. Keats said that a thing of beauty is a joy forever.

Goodbye," said the fox. "And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Is it possible for the lost to be hidden within the lost and the found… so forth?

(We want to read more, I tried searching, I didn’t find many standard poems such as this one.)

Stuartp523

I’d say so. Perhaps ~~ besides the microcosmic universe within us where the lost is always waiting to be found - so is it really lost or simply waiting to be found? ~~ there is also within the macrocosmic universe, a place which holds the lost waiting to be found. Perhaps it can only be reached through a portal such as through nature or the elements or the deepest indigo space where the stars lie or perhaps through our dreams.

WE? Who is we?
I composed this - but I don’t know what you mean by standard. Do you mean, relating to the “lost and found”? I’m sure that there would have to be many many many but perhaps not described as being Hidden Within the Lost - the Found.

arcy----please write more…

 Oh, so you think because you add a “y” to my name, I shall do your bidding?! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m at a loss.

I want what I want when I want it…how about you

"I accept lostness forever". Jack Kerouac

Sure, there are times when I feel this way but at the same time, another part of my brain and reason takes over and dictates that I will not get what I want when I want it - and that I might not even get it at all.

Life is much more of a struggle when we feel that I want what I want… - but if we can relax our hold on that, it’s easier to swallow the real truth - it may not taste so good or go down so easily but it’s a start.

And what is it that you want, little reptile?

yes you are correct…
what do I want—I want people to stop hurting each other…

So, does it simply end there, little reptile - with your desire - or do you do something about it, even if it is simply within your own little world. Perhaps all you can do is to stop hurting others, if in fact there are times when you do.

Maybe you can find a way - with words or by example - to show others how to stop hurting each other. We can’t make demands on others. And perhaps the best place to start is by not allowing, not giving others permission, to hurt you. For instance, if someone hurts you deeply and always hurts you, you might teach them by telling them so and walking away.It may not be meaninful to them, but it just may be. But it certainly will be meaningful to you.

Doesn’t everything start with our self - not meant narcissistically of course.

how are you doing in this department arc
