If you were the king of a nation, what would you do?

What would YOU do if YOU were ruling your nation?
What if YOU had all the power?
[plz say]

~

Here are a few things that I would do to you all, if I could:

Technocracy would replace capitalism, and I’d replace social security with civil-food/energy-cards.
Modern capitalism economics are based on scarcity & man-hours.
Gold is worth many dollars, where as air and water are basically free. One is far more useful then the other, but scarcity is basically the only principal for price.
Things that are hand-made cost more then things which are factory made, only because what was hand-made was less efficiently made; thus efficiency is basically punished…
technocracy.ca/simp/money-money-money.htm
If a small percentage of your state had to work as farmers, and if a small percentage of your people had to work in the nations power-plants/factories, and if this small amount of output was enough to provide everyone with what they needed to live, when distributed properly, what would you all do in your spare time? What if neither poverty nor riches even existed? Though human labor is the main/only real source of “money” – vast automation would/should basically abolish both human-labor and money.

technocracy.ca/simp/why-technocracy.htm

Next:
Legalize all forms of “suicide” & boost cryogenic development:

  • A person must die sooner or later. Each person’s human rights dictate that they should be in control of what happens to their own life, and time of death should be optional.
  • Doctor assisted “suicide” would most often just be a reduction of human suffering. If that person on life support were healthy, they would be strong enough to mechanically “take their own life”, but the same debilitation that has prevented them from even being able to “take their own life” – has also made their life not-worth-living, as some simply spend all of their last days in extreme suffering, on a bed, incapable of a real life.
  • If doctor assisted “suicide” was legalized, in combination with a more advanced method of cryogenic preservation – it would no-longer be “suicide”, but a stabilizing of a patient who was previously doomed to death. The condition of a person before cryogenic suspension is the main factor of how damaged their brain is before stable suspension, and if the patient is left “dead” for many hours before suspension, their brains have basically decayed far too much and they have sustained brain damage that shouldn’t have logically been allowed. Cryogenics is far too under-developed! If it had some real development reanimation would have been possible already!

Widen the medical paradigm:

  • Herbalism, RF therapy, [low watt] electroshock, homeopathies, etc., I want all of these to be available and as options within each hospital! There are allot of good medical technologies that the corrupt-capitalist modern “standard” has shunned.

Longevity, already possible?:

  • Using a sort of cyborg implant that I’d already written about, an internal computer and material bank – with external refill, recharge and reprogram cords/tubes would be the “invention” that could cure/compensate for anything from diabetes to aging. Regular & automated internal blood tests could determine the exact levels of blood sugar, insulin, hormones, salt, potassium, etc. And then the cybernetic implant could automatically release things such as insulin, antioxidants or HGH at an optimal rate, thus compensation for a failing natural system would be possible, and this includes partial compensation for old-age [I’d estimate a farther developed version would make a 300year life-span quite possible.].

Damage minimization then legalization of a few narcotics:

  • How harmful a narcotic is – should be the only factor behind how legal/illegal it is. Older, less-potent strains of pot – home grown – then boiled as tea, how toxic would that be? The real problem lays in the processes that make hash smokable, the nasty chemicals that go into it during processing are the real problem.

Increased strictness of the FDA & environmentalism:

  • At this time – “foods” that could be given to lab-rates to increase chances of heart-attack, sugar-diabetes & premature death – are also advertised on TV & made to be very appealing/available. I say: “Fuck that! Stop killing everybody!” [my political motto]. FDA should be far more strict, and allot of these “foods” aren’t even needed in the first place [other, better things should have just been home-made instead].
  • All output of the national media and economy should be filtered – not by public popularity, and not by financial value – but instead output should be judged only by its impact on public health and ecology.

Why are totalitarians so god-damned-retarded?
Oh goody! more communism! nocastro.com/documents/facts/cubalive.htm
Mind if I get shot for not thinking what I’ve been told to think? Hey man, you said that this would be cool, but this sucks! Communism failed bitterly. Why are totalitarians so damned retarded? Because they use brute force instead of using education & real science. If society was permeated with real facts – instead of seductive, sensationalist, capitalist, free-market vanity or mind-controlling & superficial political propaganda, then a technocracy would be possible! Right now there are 3 main methods of human influence: Temptation, lies/partiality, fear. It’s all shit! Scientists and professors should control the media. The media should be an education system, not an entertainment system, and not a lie-ridden-mind-control-device!

If I had the resources [enough control/help], my rulership would be the finest on earth; I’d be the immortal philosopher-king! [For real: Immortal. I’d use current longevity tech whilst funding longevity development drastically.] I would plan for an immortal economy & an immortal population, as I replaced the sensationalist slop with the most healthy and important facts available. **** capitalist media!

[end of partial plans list]
~

I think that your kingdoms would suck compared to mine, but please do tell me about them. =)

Actually I’d almost force people to grow small gardens on their own property, encouraging all citizens to become far more self-sufficient & ecological.

I would also ban industrial beef/pork. Meat is far too hard on the eco-system.

Originally technocracy was meant to have democracy within it… Just a scientifically-sound set of rules/economics instead of the classical capitolism crap.

If it was my rule, though, I would gather the highest IQ professors & professionals together and they would make up my voting party. I believe that a well-informed person of high IQ can put forward a higher quality vote then that of a fool, and if a few hundred of these people formed a ruling party that replaced a president, that’d be great!

Technocracy would be the constitution/methodology, but I’d hand my power/control over to a small voting party that did not have a single leader… I’d make it unconstitutional for a single person to make the choices, and there would have to be at least 100 people of a high IQ who would have to agree on things.

[edit]

The governing method would be a small-group virtual-democracy, where about 3000 people [selected at random, but of the highest IQ on earth]. These persons would each be asigned to personally research polatics & economics farther, and at the same time they would each forward ideas/vote on ideas. Bias and popularity contests would not be the question, the question would only consist of IQ & age, as members were randomly added from the public.

~

I would also want a state religion. Statistics & deep study would yeild the most sane & benifician state-religion, to suit the life-style & values of the goals with & of the people, also. I would make my state religion Buddhist!

Dogmatic faith is not the source of salvation! There is no god!
Enlightenment and compassion are salvation! [That’s the Buddhist way =) ]

that’s great, 100 despots instead of one.

By the way, even with the technocracy, you and I will still die, you might want to rethink your sig.

cheers,
gemty

And if I made ecology part of the economic constitution?
I’m talking about the death of the environment → death of humanity.

The “leaders” of the state would still be living within the same laws as the civilians. “Virtual democracy” has to do with digital voting. Each dude would have a high-security, high-speed internet connection & vote through that. A voting team of about 3000 all over the nation would basically be impossible to assassinate, but if they each had to live as civilians within the laws that they created – would they want a despotic system? NO! It’d still be a democracy, but a democracy consisting of a small number of voters, each of the highest IQ.

Estimating that these voters would do a worse job then the average mass – is a fallacy.

Ok, so the smartest 3000 people in the country are the ones who get to make all the decisions. Sounds like a meritocracy of intelligence.

  1. What about the fact that IQ is a practically worthless measure of ability, integrity, and leadership qualities? How does doing well on a test (most of which aren’t even standardised or free of bias) at all correlate to an ability to govern effectively?

  2. By definition, a system where only a small minority of people get to vote is not a democracy.

  3. I didn’t estimate that they’d do a worse job, I just estimate that they wouldn’t do the sort of job for the sort of society I’d want to live in.

  4. I read some of the technocracy stuff and I love how they go, its scientifically designed - like that makes it free from any concern.

Gee, a really smart science talking guy designed it, I’ll buy in.

Science is what part of what got us here in the first place. Let’s talk about some great scientific inventions:

  1. The atom bomb
  2. Chemical and biological weapons
  3. Depleted uranium munitions.

Go science.

On another note, I found it interesting that you said that totalitarians were god-damned-retards but then you want a state religion. What if i don’t want to be a buddhist in your kingdom? Am I free to argue against it? Am I free to say that I think Buddhism is wrong? If not, doesn’t that make you a totalitarian and a…

cheers,
gemty

You’re pissin on my thread. Lol.
Good show, old bean!

Well I wouldn’t pop you for not accepting my state-religion, but I’d promote one – then the others would loose power. I’d evoke a different culture and mentality.

Would you like some oats? I have a bag of oats here…
Would you like those oats?

First thing i would do would be to make everthing free as everthing come’s from the earth for free, there is just no mature point to having money implemented into a society…

Next thing i would do is remove all laws from society as once again there is just no mature reason for there existance, if one is not going to live life as if it’s ideal then its never going to be ideal, so in an ideal world there are no laws, so i might aswell install the ideal because aleast i’ve given my society a chance of getting there… =P~ =D>

If you took over the world, I’d take up sniper lessons.

I would live in poverty like a guardian should.

What do you mean ‘if’?

Anarchist communism, hey?
That would not work well because despotic gangs would internally form & then exploit the non-militant individual anarchists.

Anarchism was probably just the state of ancient humanity, before military really existed… And small tribe socialists existed too, I think…

That’s the kind of attitude we need for a truly ecological nation! We need people who are willing to minimize their consumption on all levels of the nation!

Forgiveness, Lord Barron.
Please tell us: how are things going within your great nation?

~

Meanwhile, I will believe that an IQ based meritocracy would have far more sustainability then the modern crap democracy.

My biggest problem is how “dug in” corrupt capitolism is.
Corruption is not as big of a problem as overpopulation, though.
People who have babies deserve to die today!

I’d resign. I don’t support authoritarian rule, and I am not arrogant enough to think I know what’s best for the people.

Sure you would Mr “High-and-Mighty.” Who would you give it up to? If you wouldn’t want to pass it on you’d have to stick around while you found another way to restore the former gov’t or at least a better one. While this is happening you’ll be experiencing absolue power, and as one Lord Acton said,“Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely.” A person’s sense of morality lessens as his or her power increases

Technology - I would make it a priority for my nation to have free wireless internet access in every area or every populated area with individual brandwidth limitations. Then i would give everyone a cheap but sturdy and small labtop that was designed only for internet access, basic applications, and fingerprint identification. I would then have everyones homepage a well designed government webpage. I would make all financial transactions electronic. I would encourage stem cell research, renewable energy technology, and genetic modification. my government would offer large amount of monetary rewards for things like curing disease, finding better ways to get energy, etc. to keep it in the public mind and create competition and it would be advertised on the website.

Politics - I would allow forums of discussion on the government website for different areas/for the nation. Anyone would be able to propose a suggestion for a law, discuss it, then everyone could vote on it. This would allow me to see what people wanted and to encourage the development of new ideas. People could also vote and propose ideas if i was doing a bad job and how i could do better. Voting would be rewarded with financial compensation (1$ per vote?) to increase government participation and awareness. Anti-spam trolling would be highly enforced. There would be specialized forums for people with the best reputation (voted on by other people) this woudl depend on their debating, creative, knowledge skills. Thus people would not have to sift through lots of crap arguments that could browse the best and brightest and put in input on that. Local officials and politicians (mayors) who create local laws would be required to be observed that would allow people the option of watching them over the net every daty during their works hours. They will campaign and be voted in over the net and anyone could do it, making funding a less substantial barrier. Optimally, the best debaters/thinkers of the posters in the forums will become popular and supported to become the primary candidates for the positions thus being able to represent the majority and at the same time present the reaons why logically and clearly. They would never be able to accept money or gifts from any bussiness/corporation and would not be allowed to have bussiness meetings with them outside of work hours to discourage corruption.

Warfare - I believe it is a complete waste to spend resources on massive troop recruitment, training, equipment, and maintenance. No troops will be deployed in foreign countries and in the nation itself only at military settings and places that needed high security. INstead i would maintain an arsenal of 500 nukes for deterrence toward an invasion by any nation. The rest of the money saved from not having a large standing army would be spend on warefare techonolgy development (survelliance, peronal armor, weapons, anti missle, etc) and the training of a very small but specialized and very well equipped security force that woudl be used for emergency situations. Then i would have a well funded anti terrorism unit like CTU to produce Jack Bauers. If money is available there will be well stocked bunkers (foods, guns, healtcare, suits, qurantine) that will be used in times of emergencies (nucs, viral outbreaks, natural disasters, invasion), everyone will know the location and allowed access with fingerprint identification. Access to aummunitions and guns will be allowed after a wait period, 10 minutes after the time it takes security forces to get there (to prevent abuse whenver bunkers are accessed security forces will be notified).

Foreign policy - I woudl remain neutral with every nation and allow non weapon trade with any nation regardless of their laws and humanities.

Religion - Religions will not be taxed but will not recieve any funding ever. Strict maintence of seperation of state and religion will be enforced.

Education - Education/schooling/research + technology development will be the priority of the nation. focus will on early educaiton will be placed on learning life skills, like learning how to learn, think logically, deal and make use of the current system, encourage daily self improvement activities and learning how to take care of your health. Then the basics will be crammed in using those skills. Length of schooling will be increased and paid by the government.

Food - I would make it a priority to advance a vegetarian nation to make the nation more healthy and save energy since making meat wastes so much energy. It would be legal to eat meat only if you killed what you ate using one or more of the following: hammer, hands, knife. In addition to this the meat industry and customers woudl be highly taxed.

Public safety - Every labtop would have the ability to have an emergency call for help where security officals could locate them instnatly with satellite tracking. Security officals will use nonlethal weaponry only. Guns will be illegal and use and possession will be highly punished. Cameras will be placed in all public areas to prevent crime.

Drugs - Tobacco would be ridicuously taxed, alcohol moderately so. Weed would be legalized (21+) and researched for medicinal purposes, vaporizers and oral consumption would be promoted to reduce toxin inhalation. People caught using drugs will be required not to go to prison but will have to be treated clinically as a health problem and reconditioned. Only the highest repeated offenders will be sent to jail.

Healthcare - First and foremost safe sex would be advocated throughly and condoms would be ubiquitous (not only free but given at highschools, workplaces, health care providers, etc) since unsafe sex has so many health consequences (arthritis, cancer, AIDs, complications, persistant infections, etc.) . An environment of sex outside of mairrage can only be done with a condom would be advocated and promoted. everoyne would be taught the different types of STDs, how to use a condom, and the bodily consequences of abortion at an early age. Abortion would still be legal. However the cost of abortion would be expensive and would go exponentially up after each abortion discouraging abuse of the system. However if the condom promotion idea is successfull abortion rates should be about nil.
Exercise will be highly promoted. Sidewalks and cirlces to run around will be built everywhere so people can be run and when cities are built, it will be designed so that everything can be run to or walked to. All food sold will require nutritional listing next to it and people will be taught in school how to interpret these values. There wil be a nationwide healthcare system available to all with copays increasing depending on lifestyle habits (smoking, exercise/diet control, condom use, etc). Eventually everyone would have a “robot box doctor” that would be able to take/analyze blood/urine/fluids and make preliminary diagnosis following a flowchart of signs and symptoms, many robots will be overlooked by a few dcotors. In addition complete medical information will be available in these “robot box doctors” so people can take part and be educated in their health care.

Jobs - The nation’s website will have a comprehensive and universal job search engine.

Transportation - Public transportation will be much more user friendly using the labtops finding the quickest route and figuring what to take when where and how (train, sub, bus). Cities will be designed not to make cars a priority but public transportation and walking optimized.

Environment - To prevent cancer growth, chemicals and pesticides will be prohibited in food production and use, instead organisms and genetics will be used. Resources will be invested to make everything more environmentally friendly. There will be no use of nuclear energy to prevent radioactive waste.

FDA - unlike the US government all foods and drugs will be tested, overseen by the government and the drug companies will have no hand in clicnical trials.

In addition to this gay mairrage would be legal, the entertainment industry would be barely censored, gambling legal, and prostitution legal but highly regulated and only for 21 and older.

The order of money allocation from most to least will go: education/research of technology, healthcare, infrastructure, national security, FDA, environment, government adminstration costs.

If you replaced dollar-bills with pure digital credit record, then people could no-longer cheat on their incometax reports.

For encouraging more science, pay your scientists well & encourage it allot within the education systems, yes.

That’s virtual democracy! Instant digital voting. It’d be great but you don’t need to pay people $1 for votes. Instead make votes optional, so that only people how care about the nation will be heard, whereas people who did not care about their country would have no voting power.

This would not work in areas where both civilians and soldiers were.
500nukes is too much! You don’t need that many, and nukes host allot!

Yes, it is good to have a small number of elite infantry units.
Recrute from schools & only accept those who have highest skill/potential.

Sorry, but you can’t be nutral. If you’re a capitalism, n if you can be monopolized, you will be monopolized.

Tax them & they will crumble.

Now there is a good idea! Instead of educating about stale facts, teach the finest of skills instead.

you’re right about that one!

qwn.

qwn.

This sounds like a highbrid of capitalism & national socialism, because of how much control you’d be exersizing, but at the same time civilians would still be allowed to privately own things.

Digital revolution!

Well, some nice ideas, cya.

What would not work in areas where both civilians and soldiers were? oh wait i see what you are thinking, if they invade you cant use them against an invading army. Oh what i was talking about was having a policy of using the nukes against any country that invades us or nukes us, not against the invading army, i guess after the nuke retaliation plan B would be the bunker thing.
500 was an arbitrary number i guess it could be lowered to something like 100 since that could take out multiple nations and allow for the possibility of a few diactivations. It just didnt seem so much to me since the US has like 6,000 or 60,000 i think?

Also about the voting thing, the voting thing is optional and pays at the same time. i was thinking since so many people dont contribute or are apathetic its because they arent interested and giving a 1$ incentive may at first create greed interest in all these people and then this may spark government/political interest as they participate more, like a catalyst. I also think its not that people who dont vote dont care about their country its just that they dont think their vote will do anything or that they just arent interested or knowledgable enough. I dont want to vote becuase i believe my one vote will never accomplish anything however if i was given a 1 dollar incentive to vote online i would do it to accomplish 2 things, represevent my view even if it wont do anything and get those dollars.

What does qwn mean?

King?

Rule a “nation”?

Why bother?

I am already the center of the universe, so what do I care about one puny nation … pfffft.

It’s better to be everything, rather than just something. If I ever get done being the center of the universe, I’ll let you have a go at it, see how you like it, that being, momentarily.

Uh oh, that sounds like spirituality.
[* pukes *]

American Gun Laws

Trafficking-5 years in federal prison per gun. I’d bump it up to ten. No parol, no bail.

Concealed carry-21 years of age, backround check, liscence, and training. I’d lower the age to 18. There would also be open carry which would require more training, backround checks etc

Draft-none unless voted on by congress. I’d have everyone serve for at least 4 years in the military.

Like Switzerland I would require everyone to have an MP5 with 500 rounds of ammunition. But I would make them have 5 magazines, two BDU’s and some web gear. All of this equipment would have to be in good shape. Training at least once a month would be required by all citizens who are physically capable. Punishment would be a fine.

If you commit a gun crime you spend 10 years in a federal prison, no parol and no bail. If you are a felon and you have a gun, you spend a minimum of 5 years in prison, no parol and no bail. If you commit a gun crime, are caught with a gun and then commit another gun crime or are found with a gun you are sent to prison for life. No parol, no bail.

Everyone will get a pyschological evaluation when they enlist. If you fail/you show irresponsible and carless behavior you are not allowed to have a gun. If you are caught with one you spend 5 years in prison,no bail, no parol. If you commit a crime with a gun and you weren’t allowed to have one in the first place you spend 10 years in prison, no bail, no parol.

It’s called narcissitic delusion, you prat. :evilfun:
