Yes, there is a point, and no, this isn’t to degrade anyone.
Everyone place your bets! I’m paying out 10 to 1 on anyone who takes the bet and is more Christian than I am. And for those of you who don’t gamble because you’re too Christian, I’m still more Christian than you despite that fact, but assuming you do prove me wrong I’ll…I dunno…read a passage from the Bible or something if you win.

The priest was firm friends with us, and would often come round for seasonal/Christmas fare (and whisky)
The Deacons, Bishop, and Archbishop were regulars at our school, and the Archbishop would bring his pet boa for ‘show and tell’ - it would wee on him every time…

My name is Christian I was raised in a pseudochristian house,does that count? No probably not since I was actually named after a hurricane. And part time religious actions are not very wholehearted. Intent is important.

I was hoping to get a lot more responses like Magsj’s, but seeing as how this was moved from the religion section…
I wanted to see how many Christians would try to prove their greater Christianity, how many would state it wasn’t a competition, and how many would do both.
The whole point was to think outside the box. I find Christians have a lot of trouble doing that sometimes. Kris there successfully did that…though he doubted himself (much to my imaginary wallet’s relief). It would’ve been a fun exercise. It could’ve potentially been ugly, but I was honestly going to try and keep from that. We’ll never know now, though…

It is not just Christians that like to stay all warm and comfy within their belief box, Christians just tend to holler alot louder if you try to open it.
All beliefs hate having their box opened and exposed. No one likes having any belief laid open and exposed for what it is. It is mentally painful. So humans like to beat their chest and prove their strength of belief because you just challenged them and it.
