Is it racist?

Actually I am married and have five children, so…

Okay, we have one obvious white suicidal neoliberal in audience, do we have any others?

Puts a check mark by a number one

I felt like I was doing you a disservice if I didn’t. You seemed confused.

Well, I don’t know what to tell you.

Again, you cannot say or speak anything bad about Jews, Zionism, or Judaism. In the United States there’s free speech, unless you say anything bad about Jews. To say anything bad about Jews is the kind of free speech not allowed here in the United States.

To say anything bad about Jews or Zionism is equal to six trillion Auschwitzs concerning hate speech where now the very act or gesture of antisemitism is ideological terrorism circa October 7th 2024. The more you know citizen, the more you know. I don’t want to have to report you citizen.

Basically if you say anything bad, negative, or puts Jews in a horrible public spotlight is now illegal, it is the highest thought crime citizen. It is the only single group of people here in the United States you cannot say anything bad about, them are the rules [now enacted law], anything else is ideological terrorism.

Actually, we have a lot of things that are similar. Anti-discrimination laws surrounding employment, education, and housing (etc.) make it illegal to discriminate based on sex, race, creed, so forth. Constitutional amendments about freedom of expression versus establishment of religion are kind of a big deal around here. People mistakenly thought it was OK to relax on those things, I guess?

I am a free speech absolutist, free speech is either free speech or it is not. There’s no middle ground on the issue. I despise censorship of all kinds as it isn’t conducive to debate, public discourse, or the exchange of information freely.

The constitution doesn’t say that you can make people unsafe with your speech and demonstrating.

The constitution isn’t about laissez-faire speech, in other words.

Just like our laws, though they usually allow for self-defense, do not promote laissez-faire killing.

This definitely needs to be protected. Not rioting, or inciting violence or intimidation so folks don’t even feel safe to go to class.

It’s kind of weird how the double standards are when it comes to people who want to convince or persuade pregnant women to keep or adopt out their babies rather than abort them. They actually do jail time.

Except for the fact that the people who want to enact censorship laws are the kinds of people who want all speech censored including the ones that harm nobody. The kinds of people who want others jailed or imprisoned for having opinions and beliefs they don’t like.

What does that even mean?

“If you want to know who the true rulers are, find out who you are not allowed to criticise.”

Who went to jail for simply asking a question?

What was the event in question?

Stop ignoring me and answer me.

I think this is a mistake.

First, I think they are typically quite meaningful. Cultural influence can be subtle, but they last a long time. Consider the phenomenon of conversos who maintain cultural practices for hundreds of years without knowing that they are doing so. More mundanely, family traditions and cultural mythologies can shape practices and worldview for multiple generations.

Second, and probably more importantly, encouraging identities different from ‘white’ is a good thing. Making a cultural identity that is purely based around skin pigmentation encourages the mental segregation of people by race. As I argued above, whiteness as an identity has an ugly history.

I agree that we should talk more about American as an ethnicity, because it’s true that Irish and French and African Americans share a lot in common that they don’t share with people who live in their ancestral homelands – American-ness is distinctive. But reducing the salience of white identity helps to enable a pluralist American identity.

Okay. “RACISM” is a claim about genetics and inheritablity.
However “Culture” can be absorbed by anyone regardless of their physical inheritance.

For my money I would reject both for reasons of avoidance of division, hatred and conflict. Since pretty much all conflicts are rooted in “identity” politics.

But I think it is pretty obvious that two people that you might identify as the same “RACE” can occupy different ends of an identity spectrum.
And that people of different “races” can find common ground on issues of nationality, gender ad infintiem…

So, for me, that is what makes this whole realm of discussion idiotic and tribal.
That’s why this labelling system is meaningless; destructive and harmful to the future of humanity.

Scalptor, YOU claimed that YOU are YOUR DNA.

How is your claim not the Most Racist Claim ever in recorded and unrecorded history???

Aren’t you Leftists supposed to identify with your BELEIFS, not your genes???
