Your entire government literally spelled it out for you when record keeping was reformed. You have now several non crime categories which serve only to push certain incidents out of being mentioned in statistics and your police has been in hot water for years now because they both intentionally and unintentionally fail to record reports.
UK statistical authorities publicly downgraded the reliability status of police-recorded crime data in 2014 and ever since then you have nothing but clowning with how crimes are recorded and shown to you in statistics.
There is no point to statistics which are intentionally being manipulated by data masking.
When your politicians make it a point to ommit datapoints by making them non crimes, then you dont have statistics on your hand, you have propaganda and nothing more.
