My “Burning Bush-like” encounter with God

Well, now you know that it refers to a dividing line in a doorway that marks a point where one room (in this case a "dimension of reality”) ends and another room (“dimension of reality”) begins.

Yes, and in order to redeem those treasures, Jesus also allegedly said [bracketed inserts mine]…

“…Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water [via the human womb] and of the Spirit [via death], he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit…

…Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."

To which I am suggesting that our second (and final) birth will involve us (our minds / souls) being born into a higher context of reality (and a higher level of consciousness) that is metaphorically depicted in the following illustration…

Indeed, how much more “natural” and “organic” can the truth of reality be than in what I am speculatively proposing? - which corresponds beautifully with that old Hermitic axiom…

“…As Below, So Above…”

Good advice there, Ichthus77.

However, I’m not sure if I made it clear as to why the presence of a “trans-dimensional doorway” would be a bad idea.

It’s because after every human on Earth would have trampled over each other in the mad rush to make it to - and through - that doorway, there would be no human bodies left on the planet to carry on the physiological means and process by which God awakens new eternal souls (God’s literal offspring) into existence.

In other words, the disappearance of all human bodies and brains from the Earth because everyone opted to walk through that “trans-dimensional doorway,” would be the metaphorical equivalent of giving God a “hysterectomy” *

* (Hence the reason for why the truth of our ultimate destiny needs to be kept hidden from us in case that crucial point was getting lost in the fog of this extensive conversation.)

I’m not sure what you’re getting at, but seeing how you referenced Revelation 20:4 as being “a thing,” it reminded me of the fact that in my description of my “Burning Bush-like” encounter with God that I provided in the OP of this thread, I stated the following (additional bolding mine)…

“…I was immediately compelled to reach for the Bible that was sitting on the case next to me and turn to the book of Revelation, because, at that time, that is what the word “apocalypse” meant to me.

And after a few minutes of reading chapters that made no particular sense to me, I finally focused on the ninth and tenth chapters - chapters whose clarity of meaning seemed to be openly revealed to me and somehow pertinent to my state of mind…”

Well, I already explained what was revealed to me regarding Revelation Chapter 10.

So, just for funzies, how about I offer up my interpretation of Revelation Chapter 9.

Here it is…

Revelation 9:1:

“And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key to the bottomless pit.”

The term “bottomless pit” does not, as it may sound, represent “hell.”

I suggest that it represents the infinite (as in bottomless) manifestations of material phenomena that the quantum realm (the informational underpinning of the universe) can produce when handled properly.

Furthermore, its “bottomlessness” is a direct reference to mind and the infinite (again, bottomless) permutations of “reality” that imagination can create out of mental imaging energy - (the stuff that the quantum realm is made of).

So how is the quantum realm handled properly?

One way is with the “key.”

“…and to him was given the key to the bottomless pit

That (I suggest) is a direct reference to Albert Einstein and the key to matter – E=mc2.

Armed with this “key,” the efforts of an international group of physicists culminated in the discovery and practical application of quantum mechanics.

With this “key” leading to quantum science, humans have unlocked the secrets of physical matter (God’s mental holography) and have been reshaping objective reality ever since.

Revelation 9:2:

“And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace…”

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out what that refers to…

The mushroom cloud billowing up from the “great furnace” of a nuclear blast says it all, which, of course, is one of the most significant (albeit negative) fruits of quantum mechanics.

“…and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.”

The sun, and the air, and all of nature have been darkened just by “reason” of the foreboding pall of potential nuclear destruction (the “smoke of the pit”) hanging over the Earth.

Revelation 9:3:

“And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.”

Locusts are an allegorical representation of a destructive force on Earth.

The locusts in this case are those nations possessing nuclear weaponry. Their power, besides that which is obvious, is likened to the power of a scorpion.

When humans encounter scorpions, they are usually overcome with fear.

Fear is the allegory here, because fear is the power with which the leading nations deal with each other. It is the fear produced “…by reason of the smoke of the pit…”. Like a scorpion’s venomous tail, the specter of death, in the form of all-out nuclear war, stands poised over the Earth, casting a grim and fearful shadow over the future of all of creation.

Revelation 9:4:

“And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree: but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.”

Again, it is obvious what nuclear devastation would do to the grass, and the trees, and the green things of the Earth.

However, the real targets in this situation are those humans who do not yet recognize or accept the absolute reality of the existence of God.

Revelation 9:5:

“And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.”

Scorpion venom contains powerful neurotoxins that affect the central nervous system. These neurotoxins can produce symptoms in the victim that have been described as feelings of “restlessness,” or “apprehensiveness,” creating a sense of foreboding and dread.

The threat of nuclear destruction is causing worldwide apprehension with the underlying intent of compelling humans to seek out God for spiritual peace and comfort, ultimately putting “…the seal of God in their foreheads…”

The rest of Revelation Chapter 9, from verses 6 through 19 (using strange and arcane language) reads like a scenario of modern-day aerial warfare.

Finally, the last 2 verses state:

Revelation 9:20, 21:

“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and of silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”

Setting aside the harshness of that ancient rhetoric, don’t you think that that last quote sounds a lot like a depiction of our modern world? – especially America, which is presently represented by the most unrepentant person the world has ever witnessed (Trump - the freakin’ Antichrist) who epitomizes pretty much every word mentioned in that quote?

Anyway, for what it’s worth, that’s my interpretation of Revelation Chapter 9. :upside_down_face:

Seriously mate, that whole post is getting archived by me. And it had one of your arts that I don’t have yet, and it’s brilliant. This was the soundtrack the Universe decided to play for me while I read your post:

And people complain?

When i was fifteen, i dated a chick in San Jose who had a burning bush and damned if I didn’t catch it. Urethritis they called it. Wasn’t one of the bad ones, though, thankfully. Mild symptoms and quickly cured with some penicillin type stuff.

Should I spend the rest of my life trying to interpret a psychosis as though it was some kind of supernatural message from beyond. Sounds like a waste of time to me. A psychosis is like a waking dream. It’s just a bunch of senseless nonsense.

Yeah. Maybe take your own advice, “Professor”. You’re a joke.

Damn, I called it. I’m good.

Really? Um, have you ever talked to someone who has experienced it? Sometimes things happen to people when they are in that “defective” state, that stick with them their whole lives.

I have had psychoses. I know first hand what they are. They’re not messages from any spiritual realm. They’re brain malfunctions that can be chronic and can fuck up your life even after they put you on anti-psychotics (which can often turn you into a zombie).

Look a lot like an idiot to me. What exactly did you “call”?

So we have God to thank for the fact that Nuclear weapons can destroy the world. And no single human being can do anything to prevent it. How divine.

If there are supernatural forces, then they aren’t on our side. At least not mine.

The devil god isn’t on your side Gary.Don’t be fooled.

I’m not fooled. I don’t think the God of this world (if there is one) is on my side. Should I think otherwise?

“You are shocked by this misunderstanding, and you instruct us that God’s cause is indeed the cause of truth and love, but that this cause cannot be called alien to him, because God is himself truth and love; you are shocked by the assumption that God could be like us poor worms in furthering an alien cause as his own. “Should God take up the cause of truth if he were not himself truth?” He cares only for his cause, but, because he is all in all, therefore all is his cause! But we, we are not all in all, and our cause is altogether little and contemptible; therefore we must “serve a higher cause.” – Now it is clear, God cares only for what is his, busies himself only with himself, thinks only of himself, and has only himself before his eyes; woe to all that is not well pleasing to him. He serves no higher person, and satisfies only himself. His cause is – a purely egoistic cause.” - Max Shhtirner

But wait, Gary! Why can’t God be an egoist?

It’s only because you expect more and feel betrayed by God precisely by (because of) concerning yourself with God and not with yourself.

What does it matter to me what God’s business is? He is as alien to me as the people living across the street whom I’ve never met. And like those people, he’d only become an object of my concern if he got in my way. I am neither angry at or happy with those people across the street and remain entirely indifferent to them until and unless they get in my way. Same goes for god. God is just another being doing what beings do. Why condemn him? Don’t worry about bro. You do you.

The world is fundamentally against human happiness. Every solution we have come up with to solve the problems that plague us all has failed. That is the designer of this world actively working against us (getting in our way to happiness). Yes, God is in the way. And until there is utopia that works for all, God will be in the way.

You just don’t get it, Gary.

By God handing her gestating “embryos” (humanity) the key to the bottomless pit

(with the “key” being E=mc2 and quantum mechanics)

…we are now able (to a limited degree) to reach into the informational underpinning of the universe (God’s mind) and reconfigure the underlying threads of the fabric of universal matter (God’s mental holography), which, in turn, allows us to create entirely new manifestations of reality to suit our ever-evolving needs…

Indeed, the receiving of, again, the “…key to the bottomless pit…” is the reason why we are now able to instantly communicate with each other around the planet by means of this amazing invention we call the “Internet” (not to mention - listen to the radio, or watch television, or use computers, or power our cities with nuclear energy, etc., etc.).

The point is that, no, it’s not just about God handing us the means for creating nuclear weaponry.

In essence, what was conveyed to us in the strange and veiled language offered up in the following quote from Revelation Chapter 9…

Revelation 9:1:

“And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key to the bottomless pit.”

…was a prophetic vision of the future moment when God would provide humans with the means and tools…

(i.e., mathematical formulas for unlocking the secrets of the structure of matter - again, God’s mental holography)

…that have already allowed us to begin venturing off the surface of this planet and into outer space…

(into the deeper regions of God’s mind)

…where the discovery of new worlds and vast resources awaits us (or, more accurately, awaits future generations of humans).

Gary, take a powder, lie down and relax as best you can.

Everything is under the control of a living Intelligence that is as far above humans in scope and consciousness as we humans are above amoebas.

In other words, trust that the Creator and Designer of the phenomenal features of the universe (trillions of suns and planets) is quite a bit smarter than us and knows what it’s doing.

And the point is that your momentary (confused, troubled, pained, and uncomfortable) existence within this universe (within God’s “cosmic womb”) will soon be over with, and, in the end, you (along with everyone else) will not only be made whole and completely healed of any maladies you may have suffered while on Earth,…

…but you will also discover that there was (is) a very logical reason for why the universe has many seemingly evil and negative aspects.

And not meaning to get embarrassingly sappy about this, but you will also discover that there was never a moment when your eternal soul wasn’t safe and dearly loved by the Being who, in essence, is your Ultimate Parent, and in whose familial image you have been created.

So, go ahead and cuss and shake your fist at God to your heart’s content if that helps you to vent your frustration over the fact that you’ve had to deal with so many negative mental problems throughout your life,…

…for nothing you can say or do while on Earth will affect the guaranteed certainty of the wonderful destiny that awaits you once you step across the threshold of death.

Now I know that the deeply worn rut you are stuck in will only allow you to respond to what I wrote with vitriolic mockery and your “…nothing can change my mind…” hatred for life.

However, might I suggest that instead of incessantly complaining about how much you hate the world, that you try to do something - anything - to make the world a better place for someone who is even less fortunate than you.

If you say so, then it must be so. No one can argue with you either so I see little point in continuing with you. Enjoy.

It’s a strange theory, it says you can murder and rape your way through life, and you’ll be guaranteed a wonderful afterlife anyway. Doesn’t motivate people to make the world a better place at all.

“The world is fundamentally against human happiness”

Which part of the world? Only animals that share our language and culture can be ‘against’ us. The rest of nature isn’t for or against us. A lion might eat yer ass but he doesn’t do so because he’s against you or wish you ill will.

“That is the designer of this world actively working against us”

It’s hard to imagine an actual malevolent or incompetent designer… which is what a designer of this universe would have to be. Now, there may be malevolent and/or incompetent beings or various types, but these aren’t designers of the universe. Just more occupants of it.

“Yes, God is in the way. And until there is utopia that works for all, God will be in the way.”

Religious people will get in the way - because their beliefs are contrary to or devoid of any reality - in the development of a better world, but there’s certainly never going to be any utopia. Less physical labor, more free time, and longer lives is the best we material creatures can do with what we are and what we have. Religion will contribute to preventing or stalling this for several reasons. Mostly because of the apathy it creates in people; this world isn’t that important, don’t sweat it, it’s all in god’s hands (every time some dumb shit happens that could have been prevented).

“was a prophetic vision”

Yes, a prophetic vision like the kind Steven King has before he sits down at the typewriter.
