Turtle - my handbook-of-truth (one that I got from a very old very reliable specialist who earns more than 1500 dollars an hour) says that believing in God is a sin punishable by eternity in hell.
Feed your brother a diet high in eggs, fish, meat, vegetables and nothing else, no drugs other than whatever prescription medication he’s on, nothing high in starch or sugar, not even whole grains, potatoes and fruit. After several weeks, incrementally wean him off any prescription medication he’s taking. Unless he has a heart condition, that is. Then, publish your findings here.
Eyes, I love it when people come off some meds. I’d bet that half the symptoms we see in patients who aren’t here for the 1st visit, are actually just side effects of experimental drugs that are being tested on them.
Agreed. There are no “side effects”, just positive or negative effects. Depression, nausea and heart attack are not side effects, they’re negative effects. It’s much, much cheaper, more effective and safer to experiment with holistic nutrition than untried and untested chemical cocktails. Everything we put or don’t put into our bodies has a measurable effect. Taking a drug for an illness is often akin to inviting a bear into your house to take care of the wolf.
Actually, that is precisely the cornerstone of both of Ayurveda and Unani (Ancient Greek) medical system.
Though, they do not reject the medicines completely, but rely more on balancing act of the body by diet and enviroment. Though, it is not as simple and easy as it looks or you are thinking as the trail of this medical philosophy ends at the very roots of the existence itself. They try to ractify the basic cause, not their effects merely. It is a very complicated process and a consultant must be aware of the complete ontology and finer details too.
But, remember also that it is very slow process, in comparision with the present one.
very important point…my god is the universe and I think it is much superior to the childlike fairy stories…it is realistic and down to earth…why should I accept the definition of god as some sky-daddy…that is silly to me…
