Seriously, McCain was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. What can we conclude about his character from the fact that he “graduated” like 900th out of 905 people in his class? What about the fact that he graduated in spite of failing some test which should have held him back, probably because his father was a high ranking official? Obama was born in poverty and came up to where he now is.
He might not be the messiah some make him out ot be. But he’s sure as hell a stronger person than McCain. I mean, the only way McCain got into politics is by milking his own failure as a pilot and the ensuing shit he got by his captors–wow give that dude a fucking medal! Then, when that cow was milked dry, he cheated on his wife and partnered up with a millionaire. But that doesn’t matter now does it, IMP? He’s running on the republican ticket. End of story. He wins.

Yes. It’s because he comes from a military family that he didn’t fail at the academy and then become a homeless bum like he rightfully should have been. Instead he got his wings, and then on his own merits promptly lost them. Five times. And then because of this little (It would normally be a catastrophic, but hey…he’s the son of a high ranking official) failure on his part, he managed to get where he is.
Give me a reason why you support him, beside because he’s republican. Me…I supported Paul. Obama is my second choice. I don’t care much for parties. I look at character. In Paul I saw a man of conviction. One who wasn’t tainted by the corruption in DC. I mean, he gave back some of his congressional pay back for crying out loud. Needless to assume that he had the nation’s welfare in mind. With Obama, while he’s not Paul by a long shot, he’s a hell of a lot closer to him than McCain is. Look at the fucking gas tax bullshit. THe off shore drilling, which by the way doesn’t mean anything since he’s not also proposing nationalizing that oil…just givien it to exxon, so that they can sell it to whoever they want…after some 10 years off course. It would have been easy for Obama to jump on board with this, like Clinton did. After all, the nation is starving for some sort of solution here. That took integrity and conviction on his part.
You’re even too blind to see behind this. You still believe that off shore drilling and the gas tax bullcrap is a good idea. Come on man. I don’t understand this about you. You’re the ultimate skeptic in matters concerning the nature of reality, but when it comes to party politics, all it takes for you to become a believer is that the idea have (R) next to it. Absurd.

Why? His father was the admiral in charge of the Pacific fleet during Vietnam War.

rank of Captain and within a week of his father passing away, McCain resigned his commission

This all fits in with my theory that the great sense of humor that liberals had in the 60’s has shifted completely to the conservatives (except when you deign to question their blind faith religions that are an exact parallel to the left’s blind faith socialism). I particularly liked the Obama/Che poster.
The Democrats just had the audacity to nominate a black man for President. What is this country coming to?
