Earlier I made a statement that Omnipotence is impossible. This was in error. I have no proof that Omnipotence is impossible, but I have proof that Omnipresence is impossible.
In order for omnipresence to exist, there would have to be a lens at every inch of the galaxy grid. So for every cubic inch, there are 8 lenses. Then there would be gazillions, quintillions of lenses in the galaxy. Then the brain of God would have to process all these lenses simultaneously, requiring gazillions and quintillions of more processing power than futuristic ASI.
The Bible says that God is omnipotent and omnipresent. It says that God knows the exact amount of hairs on your head. This means that God is not merely able to view your own mind, but is physically outside of your mind as well, and omnipresent.
Omnipotence seems to be possible, but may be poorly defined. Omnipotence is defined as the ability to do anything that is logically possible. I believe it is possible to do anything that is possible, given enough time. Instantaneous omnipotence is probably impossible.
(āE=Ek+Ep), conservation of energy[1], energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it merely transforms from one form into another; therefore energy is eternal
(E=mc^2), mass energy equivalence[2][3]; mass is a form of energy; therefore energy is immanently omnipresent
Karl Friedrich Mohr (1837). Ćber die Natur der WƤrme (German āOn the Nature of Heat/Warmthā), published in the Zeitschrift für Physik; ābesides the 54 known chemical elements there is in the physical world one agent only, and this is called Kraft [energy or work]. It may appear, according to circumstances, as motion, chemical affinity, cohesion, electricity, light and magnetism; and from any one of these forms it can be transformed into any of the others.ā
Isaac Newton (1717). Selected Queries from Isaac Newtonās Opticks https://inters.org/newton-opticks-queries āAre not the gross bodies and light convertible into one another, and may not bodies receive much of their activity from the particles of light which enter their composition?ā
oops I seem to have posted the wrong material thereā¦. here is a correction;
(E=mc^2), mass energy equivalence[2][3]; mass is a form of energy; therefore energy is immanently omnipresent
(E=ħĻ/2), zero point energy[4][5][6][7]; there is a particular amount of energy in ever single point in space; therefore energy is ātranscendentlyā omnipresent
Youāre onto something here. Omnipotence, requiring Omniscience, requires that a Conscious Intelligent Entity would either āknow everything in advanceā from the eternal past, or, knows everything past, from the future. In either case, a āPresentā entity cannot fulfill either necessity.
Your argument that God cannot have a lens everywhere is a better refutation of omniscience than omnipresence (though it would still need some work). Omnipresence is easily possible since there are numerous examples in our actual universe. Space, time, EM radiation, subatomic particles, Kim Kardashianās ass⦠these are all everywhere. And according to my theory, so is consciousness (so much for debunking omniscience).
What is the crucial component of why you believe consciousness is omniscient?
We already know that consciousness is localized to our own bodies, so already thereās 0 evidence for that. So consciousness is everywhere but also localized to bodies, thats enough disproof already. It canāt be both everywhere and localized to bodies.
@futureone Jupiter is not contributing much; Iām pretty sure you can skip him (her?). You really only need to read the first two posts to get the core of my theory. Thatās not a huge ask, now is it?
The crucial component of why I believe consciousness is everywhere is that my theory has consciousness (or more precisely, subjective experience) associated with any physical action or change whatsoever, not just brains and neurons. Anywhere where there is being, there is something being felt.
The consciousness that we know of is localized to our bodies. But I donāt believe that it starts and stops at the brain. I believe even the blood coursing through our veins experiences something. I believe the planets orbiting our Sun have consciousness. I believe every atom and molecule feels some quality of subjective experience. The question then becomes: why do we feel only our experiences (the ones associated with our brains) and not those of every other physical system to which we are connected? I explain that by distinguishing between what I call experiential consciousness (feeling things) and epistemic consciousness (knowing things). I maintain that we actually do experience everything that every other physical system to which we are connected experiences. That is, we are conscious of it experientially. But we are not epistemically conscious of them. We feel them but we donāt know it. We canāt know it. We feel them unconsciously (this obviously could use some unpacking, and Iāll be happy to do so, or you could read my theoryāremember, only the first two posts, and I explain my theory of epistemic consciousness at the end).
As for evidence, we had this conversation before. Iām not approaching this from the position of having evidence or proof. Iām proposing a model of consciousness, matter, and the relation between perception and reality that I believe explains the mind/matter connection. I maintain not that I have irrefutable evidence that my theory must be true but that if my theory is true, it explains everything.
God is omnipresentā¦what are you talking about.None of my posts are spamā¦you are just not used to hearing reality philosophy;science and psychology because you have been brainwashed with atheistic Santa Science and itās Santa forces.
The consciousness experience is directly related to the vibratory balanced attractive and repulsive electromagnetic force interactions NN,NS,SN,SS that exist right now between all spinning particles and which hold all matter together to produce binary code 00,01,10,11.
My philosophy;science and psychology is totally sound.
Not contributing much?ā¦..lolā¦..Iām the only one who is making any sense.
Iām not a solipsist if thatās what youāre asking. I believe in other minds besides my own. I just say that if things are to exist at all, they must exist within a mind.
Thoughts exist gib and come in two forms.Automated thoughts and Manual thoughts. Its important to differentiate between the two.
The automated thoughts of the lifeless binary processing biological machine body need to exist to claim that they donāt exist.
You are separate from and more than Automated and Manual thoughts.
You have the sense TOUCH as well.Donāt underestimate the sense TOUCH because itās what differentiates between the in and out of the moment consciousness states which you ātoggleā (vibration) backwards and forwards between in any given moment.
You can control consciousness and in doing so control thoughts.
Atheists live in their heads āprisoners of consciousnessā
You go within and then come back out again all the time IN ANY GIVEN MOMENT ā¦.donāt just go within and remain unaware of when you have come back out again.Learn more about consciousness and your relationship to it.Control your goings in and your comings back out again.KNOW!!! when you have gone within and KNOW!!! when you have come back out again. You think in the inward consciousness stateā¦.Learn to think in the outward consciousness state as well.
Awareness is not Consciousness gib.
The SELF is aware of the vibratory nature of consciousness and controls it.
The SELF interprets varying frequency electromagnetic energy waves emitted from vibrating matter.
