No I am not proposing unfettered immigration. Look at Germany, France, Britain as an example of this.
I am saying because of Australia’s almost isolated position for many years, the people were not exposed to the unrest and difficulties that come with mixing the races and it has taken longer for this country to accept people of different origins. The Greek and Italian communities have brought their cultures, their foods, their languages and their warmth which Australians have embraced wholeheartedly.
Australians appear to only accept European migrants to some extent.
It is often not the fault of the country which opens its doors, more often than not the people coming from different lands tend to create communities separate from what is offered here or elsewhere.
This creates mistrust.

Yes, and the fact that the climate never gets cold and freezes. In Europe, especially northern Europe, all the crops and food dies consistently every year when winter hits. You need to develop intelligence for the kind of planning and storage of long-term food supplies plus the delayed gratification (long time horizons) needed to make that work. Also, between-group competition and within-group competition were less incentivized in northern Europe for this very reason. Wasting energy on competition like that would weaken your chances of survival, AND you needed to band together as a group and cooperate well with each other to make it through those harsh winters. Whereas in Africa, the food exists all year round, nothing freezes and dies, you don’t need to save and plan and stockpile and delay gratification. You simply need to live in an area that isn’t a complete desert. And even the desert has edible plants and animals year-round.
