Depending on my mood. I like old sappy love songs, not nesiserily bad ones.

My favorite is the old Nat King Cole song “When I Fall in Love”

This song embodies that ideal sense of romantic love that seems beyond reach but I believe has to exist.

This is one of my favorites. Have enjoyed different versions. Love means pain, especially when you know your love is fading with the time, and he would go away and will never turn away.

Yes, I admit Coldplay is one of my favorite Adult Alternative bands. I could listen to “Trouble” all evening long while I am swept away by the melacholy of the singer’s voice and the piano pulls at the strings of my heart.

HOLY SHIT!!! - I’ve found a fellow Bloom County fanatic. I used to have that little square plastic record that this song appeared on as the b-side to “We’re The Boingers” - at least I think that’s the name of the a-side song, but I might be a tad off on that with the passage of time since I lost my copy of that book and record many years ago. I preferred the earlier name for the fictional band, Deathtongue. I loved the cover art of that book which parodized the Bruce Springsteen live album that came out aroung that time. Man, what I would do for a “Don’t Blame Me - I Voted For Bill And Opus” t-shirt right now. I had a few Bloom County t-shirts over the years, but I always coveted that one but never actually did get it. On a lark, I even googled it a few years ago but didn’t find much except for an e-Bay listing for a pre-worn D-B-M-I-V-F-B-A-O t-shirt that I wasn’t sure I wanted to roll the dice on.

those were the days when there were a lot of great comic strips being made typified by Berke Breathed’s Bloom County and Gary Larson’s Farside along with Zippy and Garfield’s early years
