The US is finished

The UK is going in the wrong direction; following the idiocy of the USA.

But despite this long term trend, the UK is still a much better place to live..

unlike you i don’t automatically simp for my country.

  1. yes most Americans are workaholic NPCs that judge you as your job. They don’t view people with any depth and view them as walking jobs and that a person has no personality other than their job.
  2. yes going outside in America makes me uncomfortable because of all the mass-shootings. However, not owning a gun makes me feel even more uncomfortable than that. Also, the US is very restrictive when it comes to concealed carry and makes people go through lots of training and fees. The vast majority of these criminals are illegally carrying guns so more of that kind of legislation will only hurt citizens. The only way to stop gun-crime in america is actually reducing the amount of physical guns in the society. - Second and importantly. America has 18x more murders than the UK. So without guns the USA would still feel unsafe. USA just has more violent people than the UK does
  3. She complains America is unsafe which is true and supports my argument in 2. She says there are lots of violent animals and alcoholics. This is true for example some people just leave their dogs out in the open in the street with no fence which is illegal. And most dogs are very aggressive towards pedestrians for no reason
  4. “Cameras everywhere and feeling more comfortable about safety.” Carrying a gun makes me feel safe in America and you don’t have that in the UK. UK feminizes people by making them dependent on others for their safety. What if in the UK you are in a location where there is not any police, then would she feel safe? Since even pepper-spray is illegal there? My guess is she is some kind of sheltered city-slicker that is dependent on alpha males to protect her. Also, cameras everywhere feels dystopian and creepy. What if america had cameras everywhere? Capitalists, pedo politicians, and warmongers spying on people is a bad thing not a good thing.
  5. “Locals try to stop a street fight in the UK” thats universal human behavoir and happens in the USA as well. In street fight videos there’s always some pacifist cuck trying to pry them apart and poop on the party.
  6. “you don’t know if you’ll get shot in a brawl” yes its cucky in America that you cannot just square up to somebody, they might be some pussy that guns you down. For example in FPS games some people on the mic say “Lets do knife only this round!” and everyone whips out their knives. Then some jerk and asshole guns them all down. And that’s what its like street fighting in america, there is no gaurantee of a 1 on 1 fair fight because of some pussy gunning them down.
  7. Yeah some of the prices in america are too expensive for groceries compared to the UK. And America used to have true dollar stores but then they raised the prices to 5 dollars and 10 dollars. And yes it does feel like a “junk food conspiracy” of capatalists trying to make people unhealthy (maybe they are paid by the medical industry to?)
  8. yes american train tickets are far too expensive. american is car-centric which causes it to be dystopian. However, america is not anti-ebike. UK is very hostile to ebikes.
  9. America speaks Spanish and it makes calling corporations take twice as long. Also, Scotland and Ireland should be separate countries. England forcing them to annex their country is fascist
  10. yes the cost of American education is a meme, parents saving 200k to take their kid to college is a meme, many Americans have only 400 dollars in savings and not even close to 200k
  11. yes its harder to make friends in America because of 1. people are workaholics that view other people only as work-robot-automotons

If too many Americans take the attitude that the US is finished, that will be a self fulfilling prophecy.

Your daily allotment of internet usage is almost over, you’re going to need to prepare for a facial scan Nigel. Make sure you have a loicense for that internet usage pal.

[At least we don’t have to put up with that bullshit over here.] :joy:

The entire west is finished including the United States, it’s just that some places [like the U.K. for instance] are worse than others.

Either way it was a bunch of greedy capitalist asshole financial parasites that destroyed the west.

[Who are still in the process of destroying it even now.]

Even if it were destroyed.. Must first destroy the old, to bring about the new. We will see what happens huh.

In a nutshell, America is historically and quintessentially, a country of no culture. This is why money worship and material worship have evolved into its only core values. Narcissism is as much a traditional religious way of life in America as Shintoism and Bushido is in Japan or Confucianism is in China.

Americans are psychotically greedy and money grubbing. Its all they understand. Have you ever had the misfortune to be around the average American modern woman? They think themselves to be princesses or empresses and expect to walk on gold plated rose petals. Totally monstrous. And men are supposed to find that “attractive” enough to marry them. Imagine the repulsive insanity of it. Of course with a fast approaching government debt toward 40 trillion, which will send the money greed of its citizens into a fever pitch, in another 10 years, the dollar will be valued less than a wadded up asswipe in a toilet bowl.

So what are you trying to say?

It might have that effect.

I do not think that “most Americans” are consciously contributing to the decline; they seem only too happy to allow the oligarchs to do that for them. On a scale of least (Democrats) to most destructive (Republicans) they seem to have chosen a man off the scale, who is a felon, rapist, fraudster, cheat, liar. A man who has been hastening the decline through the alienation of the once friends and neighbours of the US, thought hostile visa rules and immigration policy; punitive tariffs which is driving away business; and the gross manipulation of the markets and fraudulent coruption through Crypto Bribery.

WT actual F does any of that mean?

No. Things never happen that way.

Things evolve. Evolution means change. Nothing that needs destroying is curently being destroyed. The things that are changing ATM is the the bad stuff is increasing whilst the good stuff is in decline.

WHen you measure success by the few who are doing well in the market, then most people are suffering - working harder for less- and paying more. This tendancy has accelerated since January

Change can be good and bad; good for some bad for others. Current change is good for the 0.1% and bad for the majority.

That is culture in ascendancy. A few in power are enriching themselves at the expense of the many. This is not sustainable. Unless you share the bounty of the economy then it will not survive.

I disagree that the US is completely without culture. It used to have a belief in itself concerning democracy and the rule of law. Not the Bigfatorangebabyman is pissing all over that

Did you register for your TV loicense yet, Sculpy?

you got to look at the good. When a patient is in critical condition, sometimes the treatment makes it worse before it gets better. Trumps performance is so abominable that No american will ever look at politics the same again, other than the most idiotic of idiotic trumptards. Status quo politicians never cause change, because normies are so easily brainwashed by mainstream media.

No, they are not happy. Six months into his second term, President Donald Trump’s job approval rating has dipped to 37%, the lowest of this term and just slightly higher than his all-time worst rating of 34% at the end of his first term. Trump’s rating has fallen 10 percentage points among U.S. adults since he began his second term in January, including a 17-point decline among independents, to 29%, matching his lowest rating with that group in either of his terms.

According to a Gallup survey from January, the share of Americans who say they are “very satisfied” with their lives has hit a new low. According to the 2025 Edelman Trust Barometer report, only 30 percent of Americans feel optimistic for the next generation.

The question is what the dissatisfied majority can do about it. Trump is turning democratic institutions into zombie institutions. In the latest example, Republicans in the Texas House of Representatives on Wednesday released a proposed new redistricting map that seeks to fulfill President Trump’s desire to add up to five additional Republican congressional seats in the state. Democrats in Blue states are contemplating doing the same thing to combat Trump’s plan. The net result undermines the integrity of elections.

On my thread “the Resistance Begins” I have recorded many instances of people are fighting against the attack on democracy in America. Here’s another couple of them:

Yesterday marked an important milestone in Friends of the Everglades legal battle to halt environmental harm caused by a mass detention center in the heart of the Everglades. Judge Kathleen Williams granted a 14-day temporary restraining order requested by Friends of the Everglades and their partners. That means new construction — including filling, paving, installation of new infrastructure and lighting — must stop immediately at “Alligator Alcatraz.”

In Los Angeles, activists are calling for a 24-hour boycott next Tuesday of Target, Walmart, McDonald’s and other companies they say are complicit in Trump’s mass deportation efforts. The boycott follows an ICE raid at a Home Depot parking lot this week. Angelica Salas is the executive director of the Coalition of Humane Immigrant Rights.

“It ain’t over until it’s over.” Yogi Berra?

Are you another expat just like British Bob?

Imagine speaking about the virtues of living in a nation without even living there yourself.

Of course they aren’t happy and they aren’t optimistic. Very soon they and their generations will all be dead. If they don’t get this climate monstrosity under control.

.

True enough. And Trump has canceled support for clean energy and gutted the EPA.
