We don’t have natural competition in modern western societies especially within the United States.
What we have is a very ruthless and apathetic form of cutthroat competition that has transformed all of society into a zero sum game. Kinda like how female sexual capitalism also revolves around the concept of a zero sum game as well come to think about it.
A society that revolves around extreme ruthless competition will not last long and is doomed to failure overtime. It will be outlived by more cooperative societies where people actually care about one another because the general public welfare is more important than individualized competition.
