You know how ridiculous that sounds right? Lol
Good question. The idea of a dome over the Earth doesn’t mean things can’t fall. The dome isn’t some simple windowpane glass that everything just bounces off of.
What we call “meteors” aren’t what you think they are. The idea of space rocks flying through empty space and hitting us is part of the globe story. From what I understand, a lot of what people see as meteors are just atmospheric phenomenon, things happening inside the dome. They are not rocks from “outer space.”
The dome is there to hold the firmament, the sun, moon, and stars. It’s a structure, not just a solid wall. Things can still happen beneath it, and what we observe as falling objects or shooting stars are part of that system. You have to be willing to not just believe what they tell you a meteor is, and instead consider what you’re actually seeing. It’s just more proof that the whole “outer space” thing is wrong.
But nobody has fallen off the edge of the flat earth
But what is your actual evidence for this?
Because right now you’re telling me to not believe something that is supported by evidence to believe in something you have not provided evidence for.
How does one fly around the world and arrive back at where they started, on a flat Earth?
And when I ask for evidence, I am not asking for a YouTube video of some guy talking about it or any form of appeal to authority.
I want your own logical analysis and thought on it, context, please.

flat earth model is this
But nobody has fallen off the edge of the flat earth
flat earthers want to be allowed to visit antartica so they can show the edge of the earth. but the military doesnt allow it and bans them from antartica. i believe the government WANTS people to believe in flat earth.

That doesn’t explain much. Seems like a handwavey statement

Very handwavey, no engineering details
“god that guy is hot and i love the sound of his voice”
Blonde dudes are no longer hot and haven’t been since WW2 because of the whole fake Aryan thing. Like you can’t look at a hot blonde guy and think, “That dude doesn’t think he’s part of the Aryan master race” because you can’t not think you are if you’re a hot blonde guy born after WW2.
But no… blonde is a soft color and feminine, and it belongs on females. Forget about all that golden masculine Appolonian light bringer boloney. Darkness is masculine, and most sexy. That’s why Arabish men and women are always the hottest. Not the lower middle class pot bellied grocery store clerk with the blue Hilfiger shirt on and the dusty jeans. I mean the hollywood Aladin kind. Like the superhot princes that would be surrounded by belly dancers with snakes 'n shit and some dude is playing some eerie music on a sitar. Folks don’t get any sexier than that.
Compare the scene of a german nazi orgy in your head. Not so good, is it? Blonde heads bobbing up and down all over the room. A horrible cacophony of moans and utterances like unintelligible consonants coming into collision sound out across the room. Can you even imagine?
This is hardly a convincing argument, man. I was asking for something more substantial than “trust your senses”. Even because it’s my sense of sight that tells me that other astral bodies, like the moon, the sun and Venus are in the shape of a globe. I don’t see why Earth would be an exception to this pattern, unless a magical Creator had somehow decreed it would be so.
Since you’re trying to substantiate your flat-earthism with some philosophical jargon, one could expect you could go deeper than that. But obviously I am aware of the reasons why you can’t.
The picture from futureone shows how. He’s illustrated it well.
Wrong, and has been proven wrong so many times that it doesn’t bear repeating.
That’s not true that people can’t tour to Antarctica.. You just have to get a pass to do so, I have looked it up before. So that’s not a valid argument that “Everyone’s banned from traveling to Antarctica”…
I am pretty sure they’re still finding different life forms there and discovering new things.. Allowing for people to come fuck it up so they can’t, is kind of a good thing.
If you are so interested in traveling to Antarctica, join a tour for it.. and also, make sure to pack warm and extra beef jerky.
No offense intended, but you remind me of the little guy in the Flammarion engraving,…
…but minus his curiosity (and discovery) of what lies above and outside of the “dome,” or of how and why such a dome…
(a dome that creates the sneaky illusion of making us think that the universe is way bigger than it actually is)
…came into being.
Tell me, do you also believe that the alleged “Flat Earth” is the center of the universe?
If so, then you are in respectable (albeit ancient) company.
Because even though (according to Copilot) Aristotle, Plato, and Ptolemy believed that the Earth was a sphere (as in not flat), they nevertheless were proponents of the geocentric model of reality.
So, how about it? Are you also a proponent of geocentrism?
This is a great point, and I’m glad you brought up the idea of geocentrism. You’re absolutely right that the idea of a stationary Earth at the center of the universe is an old and respectable one. And yes, that’s exactly what I believe.
The geocentric model, where the sun, moon, and stars revolve around us, makes a lot more sense than the heliocentric one. You can see the sun and moon rise and set every day. You can see the stars revolving around the North Star. The evidence is right there for you to observe. We don’t feel the Earth moving at all. It’s stable.
It’s just like the flat Earth idea—it’s a model that’s based on what you can actually see and feel, not on some complicated math or theories. It’s the most intuitive explanation for what’s happening around us. I’d rather side with the sensible, observable evidence than with a modern theory that tells me to ignore my own senses.
Take us to the edge of the earth and I’ll shave my moustache (it’s 42 days old and counting).
What would cause you to change your opinion on Flat Earth? Are there any set of conditions that would ever make you question flat-earth? Or you will believe it, no matter what?
Btw if you calculate the tangent angle after 1 second of orbitting the sun, its only 0.00001141∘
If you calculate the tangent angle of the rotation of earth on the surface after 1 second, its 0.00418∘
thats why you don’t notice the earth moving
That’s a good question. It’s an important one because it gets to the heart of what we believe and why.
For me it would take something that I could see and experience with my own two eyes. Something that couldn’t be explained away with atmospheric haze or perspective or a camera trick.
I’d need to see a real, verifiable curve in the ocean, for starters. Not a small, subtle one, but something that is undeniable. Or I’d need to see a plane or a drone fly high enough to where I could clearly see the Earth as a ball without any CGI or filters.
It would have to be something that everyone everywhere could witness for themselves without relying on a powerful group or a fancy theory to explain it. I’m open to changing my mind but the evidence would have to be as simple and undeniable as the flat horizon I see every day.
Well, theoretically it would be possible for anyone to see it for himself, provided he was an astronaut or someone rich enough to pay for a space travel.
Elon Musk seems to be working on this.
Btw, I know the above video is a NASA AI creation. Now it would be nice if you could make such a convincing video to prove flat-earthism.
There’s plenty of unedited videos of balloons going up to high altitude and seeing no curvature. All curvature in these types of videos is a result of editing or fish eye.
