I’m quite intrigued by the inability to even think about the question. See if someone asked me something like that, I could at least say “well he politically supports this cause, or that cause, so I can look past his bad track record of how he treats black people”. Or I could even say something like “please give me some evidence that he feels that way about black people”. I could engage honestly with the question, look at it in the face, and give a real answer.
But you can’t do that. I truly am curious why it’s so painful to look at this right in the face.
