Was free sex ever a thing ? And if so why did it die out?

Sad that you can’t take ‘meds’ for being an imbecile.

Indeed. If there’d be any such meds you’d not need to make monologues to others about who belongs on a philosophy forum while simultaneously spewing misandry, and then going on whataboutism ventures about

May i remind you clownette that i have been around for months and not once did i call you out on your misandry? You aint getting to play victim now when it was you who decided in all her genius to tell who belongs here and who doesnt.

If i dont, then you can shut your face and come get banned alongside me because if i dont belong here, then you sure as shit dont either, and f your whataboutism, i was neither pro nor contra about any of this until you decided you gonna determine what can and cannot exist on this forum.

So take those meds and f off to somewhere to cool off.

So it was your heart then. Thanks for confirming it

Love isn’t.. constantly having to defend yourself against things that One has neither said nor done, nor is it uncompromising unforgiving uncaring.

But it may be compromised when One recalls something said about never having to say you’re sorry to someone lost because it wasn’t said.

If you see everyone buying and selling, then they are all transacting. It’s such a victim stance. Somehow the women managed to get men to think success got them better mates and women were dependent, then, on male incomes or hunted venison. Women got all those transactions going, despite having less power in terms of law, rules, customs, in those societies. Then at some point they changed the rules and now they earn more money and the whole male breadwinner seeking should just automatically disappear instantly from their habits.

I don’t know why men have let women control history so much. I didn’t realize that everything is logical and conscious and changes should happen instantly.

Maybe it had something to do with the fact that husbands essentially owned their wife and children. Women had no rights at all. Their husbands could throw them out into the snow to never see their children again if they chose to. They could do what they liked.

All of you arseholes seem to be living in a 1950s family sitcom. There has never been a time when women ‘controlled’ everything or when men were their protectors. Doing genealogy is eye-opening. You realise that women surviving with children alone was the norm rather than the exception. They were often to be found in the workhouse after their loser husband had drunk himself to death or taken off because children were too much effort.

No wonder women came up with the idea to charge the useless bastards for it.

Amazingly enough hippie culture did not completely free itself from the habits of the surrounding culture. Bang. Women coming out the 50s were, yes, more likely to be attracted to men with resources. But compared to the rest of the culture, working class men and poor men had a much better chance of getting sex. 1) Because hippie culture was critical of, if in the sloppy haphazard way of hippies, classism: each of us is just a shiny, soul in a beautiful body. But more importantly because sex was not coupled to marriage and permanence like it was outside the counterculture. So, sure, the dominant culture that had been around a long time, what a surprise, continued to affect aspects of hippie culture. But the implication that they were just like the rest of the culture is just plain wrong. You wanted to get laid and you had a poor background or were from the working class, your chance went way, way up with the hippies.

One of the main problems with free sex in the hippie culture is it gave men yet another tool to pressure women to have sex. Come on be free. And if the women didn’t have sex she was judged uptight or whatever jargon was current.

Your theory seems to be that men are victims. You found the extremely rare decent woman, but men are horribly oppressed, and women have always been the ones controlling the culture of sex, regardless of their power in the society or culture they are in. And this ends up with a counter-essentialism. Women are cold-hearted parasites and men are victims.

Great, now we have another toxic philosophy to keep us at each other’s throats while the people with real power giggle us to Armageddon or the dystopia of choice.

Sex was always a safety valve of negotiation tthat ignores the moral preoccupations below, a regulatory agent between liberal and conventional values.

It’s a phase where the economies of the cost of day to day living are correspondingly and defensively controlled by more or less adjustable application of moral police’s application, so that hard times can be compensated for by the feelings of more existential pleasure, while standard will again revert to renewed vehement police enticement.

Easy sex when love and sex are again conflated by mass media, so that new generations may not bite to harsh bullet without the fleeting pleasure their life ahead may orchestrate about defending requirements of growth and normal development. The objective hidden determinants applied by economic principles long before painfully constructed may apparently seamlessly de-differentiate into chaotic normalcy.

Victimization based on gender identification reaffirms a deeper hidden crevice underneath, the ideological tie between class consciousness and monetary value. A chick during the beatnik days had not yet opened their consciousness with an exalted dose of narcotics so they were more impressed with the kind of cars guys drove, so love was more expensive before flower children discarded such notions.
