Maximally greater than can be conceptualized.
Let’s start with the greatest conceivable, and see what it even means to be greater than can be conceived.
Being itself is greater than any being. Can you conceive that?
I have known a peace that surpasses understanding. Does that count?
omg you guyz are so deep
go fish
Absolutely!
Cool. Now…back to how we recognize that this peace isn’t just a chemical substance.
To be an ego is both to be inside and outside one’s self.
How can that Be?
Right?
My peace comes from trying to destroy all existence and finding out it’s impossible.
My peace came from trying to destroying my soul and it was impossible.
I had to outthink the cosmos.
If anyone wants to judge me.
It will look very good on them.
Did your peace go away when you tried to outthink the cosmos … & it was impossible … but for reasons you can’t explain?
I judge your insanity to be a sane response to the circumstances.
Ichthus.
I take all challengers.
I remember everything now
You all did memory wipes to stay entertained.
I only take one challenger from all the challengers that only take one challenger.
I am a properly basic bitch.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the Wisdom to know the difference.
The journey into Peace begins there above.
My peace comes from trying to destroy all existence and finding out it’s impossible.
My peace came from trying to destroying my soul and it was impossible.
So, maybe it is time for you to begin to “build up”, Ecmandu, and not to destroy.
In Vedantic terminology Self with a capital S is Consciousness. The self with a lower case s is the separate self or ego. The ego only appears as an object of consciousness.

It seems to me that they are all part of the same… maybe like a tree with its branches.
Why do we alway have to dissect ourselves?
Knowing as an experience is what it means to be a self. We don’t know ourselves as an object separate from ourselves, but the part of us that we can update or reinterpret is what is meant by ego. There are innumerable ways to interpret, but the ability to do so is grounded in being. If we allow our thinking/interpreting to contradict being/ground, it results in madness.
Because we suffer.
…because we hunger/thirst for the goodness/order, truth/being, and beauty/wholeness we are made to know, and so allowed to find, fight, or flee.
If we allow our thinking/interpreting to contradict being/ground, it results in madness.
How does that contradict being for you, Ichthus?
By being/ground are you speaking about reality here? I may not be understanding what you are saying here.
Can you please give me an example of what you mean by…
If we allow our thinking/interpreting to contradict being/ground, it results in madness.
The first thing which comes to me here is for instance those who actually believe in witches and that they ride on brooms? lol Something like that? …
