the first superstition to be looked at is this idea
that ‘‘god is love’’ anybody who has actually read the
bible, especially the Old Testament… can tell about
the massive violence and death that god caused…
it has been estimated that in the bible, god caused, directly
caused over 2.2 million deaths… please share with
us how by god killing over 2 million people that is,
in some fashion, love.. how is killing over 2 million
people love? or let us go even more basic,
it is said that god has but once choice, accept
him or spent eternity in hell… how does spending
eternity in hell show us god’s love? As a parent, I
do have some sense of rules, punishment and
the love of our children, and I would be an
terrible parent if I were to do the same thing to my
daughter… love me or spend eternity in hell…
that isn’t parenting, that is nothing more than violence
and it has clearly has nothing to do with love…
and say, show us that god exists, and one will say, words
like love and bananas… but what is the connection between
love and god? There is no actions or behavior that suggests
that god actually does love us… I would suggest that god’s
actions, that of the sacrifice of Jesus would in fact suggest
that god is about control, not love… and any attempt to
define me by another, is not love but controlling…
to force me to love god is not love by making the ‘‘wrong’’
choice, is not love…
I wonder how many people would actually love god if, IF
god weren’t about punishment… love me for who I am,
god… not because I can eternally punish you, but
because I am god… love god for who he is…
very few would in fact love god…and why?
because there is no benefit to love god…it is
about rewards and punishments, not love…
love me and be rewarded, refuse to love me
and its eternal damnation… take this choice
away and would you still love god? I seriously
doubt it… take away the rewards and punishment
and no one in their right mind would love god…
there is no reason to…especially given how violent
god has been to human beings… doubt me,
read the ‘‘book of Job’’ and tell me how god
isn’t violent, given the torture of Job…
you might say, god didn’t torture Job, but
he allowed it to prove a point…he allowed
the torture of Job to prove a point… that isn’t love…
there is no point to god except to show how violent
and violent god has been… or are we not reading the
bible anymore? the violence and hate of god is quite
evident in the bible… you don’t kill over 2 million people
if you ‘‘love them’’

up the bible is because if one actually takes it seriously,
it is clear that god approves of many things, incest, mass murder,
hypocrisy, torture, sacrifice of people and hate…
if you take the bible seriously, you got to hold to those values…
if god can torture Job, we can’t we torture people?
if god allows incest, why can’t we?
if god practices mass murder, why can’t we?
recall that god kills over 2 million people, whereas
Satan kills 10 people in the bible…
if one just engages with the death toll, we have
to give our approval to Satan, not god…
Satan is far more all-inclusive than god is…

the word for universal… because he sends people to

holding to, worth believing in…to love people, all people,
means loving them no matter what they believe in, no
matter who they love, no matter how they dress,
no matter the values one holds, to love is to love
unconditionally, regardless of what the other holds to
be true…a parent’s love is/should be unconditional…
too bad god’s love is conditional… and thus not worthy
of devotion…if you don’t love unconditionally, you don’t love
someone…

The thing I find most remarkable about the teachings of the bible, is that God is so insecure, that He becomes very upset if people don’t believe in him or worship him adequately. According to the bible, God is a narcissist. But the creation of the Universe and the resulting emergence of life is the most unselfish thing He could have possibly done.
I say “He”, but why would God have a gender? Is He going to go on a date?

Yeah. “He” frowns upon sacrificing human children like surrounding cultures…. so “he” very clearly explains more appropriate means until he can drive home the point that he loves us despite our crap, good or bad, and we can self-sacrificially love others likewise by throwing ourselves (egos) on the grenade of resentment/resentiment.
Or would you prefer I say it or they? “It” depersonalizes and “they” pluralizes without making very clear “it” is a triunity, not tritheism. We lack the language.

The Bible is a distorted bootleg version of ancient religions.
The Creator God is not the same god as the Old Testament warlord god.
It cannot possibly be the same god. First god demands veganism. Second god punishes for not tributing them with meat. The fall of adam and eve represents this world as the underworld… that is this world is the underworld and the Old testament god is the god of the underworld.
