On the impossibility of knowing a true tenseless fact without omnitemporality

Before 46 minutes, Dr. Craig talks about Columbus and tensed truth/facts changing their truth value with the passage of time, but I still have this lingering question on his material regarding God’s knowing tenseless truth/facts: How can God know a tenseless 1492 fact that is embedded (timestamped) in time unless that time exists in some sense, and he knows what time it is in that sense, because not only is he immanent in thattime, he is omnitemporal (omniimmanent, omnipresent)? Would this be a synthesis of both A and B theories, or would it be a “kind” of (which?) one of those two theories?

Soon after in the vid…

Dr. Craig’s save of free will foreknowledge is counterfactuals/counterpossibles (alterfactuals). Why doesn’t that save free every-time-t knowledge? He says B theory knowledge is of something REAL. Does he think God’s foreknowledge is… not knowledge? He says if it were to fail to happen, God would know something else. How is that not also true for every-time-t knowledge? Isn’t his time traveler argument favorable to every-time-t knowledge?

at 1:21:00 ish: Saying that temporal becoming isn’t real just because all moments are real is like saying variations in qualities aren’t real because all qualities are real, or every person of the Trinity isn’t real because the Trinity is real.

at 1:23:00 the cross demonstrates eternal love despite our sin (but it won’t be forced without our consent, which is preserved/concurred at every time t) & is not a magic trick, the doctrine of the elect is more compatible with all time being real… & …All arguments about moments still being real nullifying the resurrection — you could use “the past is no longer real” to nullify it for the same fallacious reasoning.

1:35:00ish: Saying B theory necessitates God not acting in time (if that is in fact the case—we time theorists do love our antithetical scenarios, don’t we?) is why I suppose someone must articulate a better C Theory than she presented. Oy vey.

The conversation about the bones and resurrection was embarrassing. The whole physical universe will be new, man.

Well, well done, Emily. Love those shoes.
