Maybe the opposite of noble is vain, as when we fall from Yes with an arbitrary no. And maybe the only way to reconcile that is for the Yes to demonstrate it is always Yes.

False. If you’re going to interpret things literally… Genesis 1:28 (a positive command) precedes Genesis 3 (the possibly poetic “first” act of defiance… which does not cancel the command…which would be a contradiction).
