What came first: a particular category, or (an) example(s) which/who inhabited it?
Predicates … properties … qualities … of categories? …of (¿indiscernible?) individuals? Quality seems intrinsic/capacious. Virtue is maleable as (in) the Being/being—via doing (after purposing/passioning, for beings subject to time). One thing unmalleable, uneraseable, is person=person. Divergence from self=other is madness. Reality doesn’t do it, yet (or, so) it subsumes the (its) ability to freely align/diverge with it.
Imagine Reality diverged from reality. It’s like imagining nothing. Reality swims upstream from all divergence.

I’m studying cognitive processes so they say we’re hard wired to do language … written/read included … as evidenced by double dissociation revealed in damaged brain studies.
Got me thankin (I am, therefore I think?)
Apologies if other threads go unanswered.
How Does Nature Know?
“‘If we take in our hand any volume: of divinity or school of metaphysics, for instance; let us ask, Does it contain any abstract reasoning concerning quantity or number? No. Does it contain any experimental reasoning concerning matter of fact and existence? No. Commit it then to the flames; For it can contain nothing but sophistry and illusion.’ [Hume] If, in order to be meaningful, a statement must be either mathematically sustained or scientifically verifiable, then David Hume’s stateme…
Modal Logic Question
Prolly same reason folks prefer Boole to Aristotle on existential import, I’m guessing.
Categories (monad/kleisli)
My notes on this video as I learn. Please scan for questions & correct any false inferences.
categories without elements (instead: constructions of arrows between objects, showing how they relate)
three rules for categories:
composition (for implementation)
identity/unit (object with arrow pointing back to itself)
associativity (can be composed in any order) (concatenation of strings)
Kleisli category has same objects but different arrows from the ones in Category C (a monad). is this also…

I want to keep this as short, sweet, and simple as I can, so here’s the Euthyphro-type dilemma up front… but we will return to it below: Does what is encoded (the pious/good) get our attention, or is it that what we attend to (the loved/valued) gets encoded? This very condensed post basically shows we are hardwired for language/signal ability and learning in an irreducibly complex and very specified way.
I inferred it from what I gleaned from chapter 9, Language, from Radvansky and Ashcraft’s “C…
And this:
e=mc^2 (if descriptive—has existential import, not merely hypothetical category) does not describe AN instance, but every instance - even if only one (only takes one whole instance to be more than merely hypothetical) ….
So if each instance of e=mc^2 does not have the same identity (is not the same instance), but is after same pattern that describes it (each instance of all instances)…
then this is the question:
What kind of non-empty/-hypothetical category (cuz has existential import) is tha…
